RECAP: Preeta is back in Arora House. Preeta memories and conversation between her and her mother. Karan outburst of his feelings to Sameer. Later, Karan and Preeta met at their spot and we got to know the past about their fight. Preeta challenged Karan that she would win his trust in one month.
Next Day Luthra House
Rakhi Luthra was in the kitchen preparing breakfast for her family. But in reality, she was waiting for her favorite person to come.
So when the bell rang, Rakhi was the first person to run and get it, asking her servant, Girish, to keep an eye on the food.
Preeta arrived at Luthra House at 7:15 a.m. A time where most of the Luthra family would still be asleep except for her Rakhi Aunty and the head of the house, Bani Dadi.
She was surprised to see Rakhi opening the door. She had expected Girish as she knew, at this time, Rakhi Aunty usually prepared the breakfast.
"Preeta! Come." Preeta bend down to take her blessings. Rakhi smiled and blessed her.
"Good morning Aunty. I'm sorry if I disturbed you. Actually, I start working at the hospital at 8:30. That's why I'm early." Preeta wanted to face-palm herself.
Why did she need to ramble? Why was she so nervous? It wasn't her first time here but she couldn't help but feel a little anxious. After all, it's her first day and she can't make a bad impression. Even though she is practically family, she can't ignore the fact that they are the trustee of her hospital and its reputation is at stake. So she need to do her best to not obtain any complaints.
It seemed as if Rakhi knew what she was thinking. Rakhi squeezed her shoulders and smiled at her.
"It's okay Preeta. I know you are nervous but don't be. I have full trust on you. I know you will do your best to not disappoint us. I have seen you work, you are a good doctor Preeta. Remember that." Preeta's eyes became teary.
Preeta misses that feeling; of being comforted and encouraged. Rishi and Shivani were there to provide her with encouragement and support but it wasn't the same as a mother. A mother's words gave us the strength needed to fight against every problems and evil. A mother words are so sacred that you can't just don't believe it; it's a must. Mothers know what is better for us. They know us inside out.
Rakhi Luthra was another mother for Preeta. To hear her saying those comforting words gave her the courage and determination to do her work well. She never knew she was that desperate to hear them until now.
"Thank you so much Aunty," Preeta hugged her, "Acha, where is dadi? I should start her treatment."
"Yes of course. She must be in her room. She just finished her walking walk. You can go and see her." Preeta smiled and went upstairs while Rakhi returned back in the kitchen.
Preeta knocked on Dadi's door and entered when she heard a faint come in.
"Good morning Dadi!" Preeta said cheerfully and took her blessings.
"Good morning beta. How are you? All is well?" Dadi replied.
"Yes everything is well. Tell me? How's your feet?" Preeta sat in front of her and took her feet. Dadi was sitting on the bed with her legs straight.
"What can I tell you? Just as always. It's paining." Dadi pouted and Preeta laughed.
"Aww dadi. I'm here now. Just see how I will make all the pain go away." Preeta started massaging it.
Half hour passed with Preeta making her doing some exercises and massaging her feet. During this time, they talked a lot and were enjoying themselves. Preeta really missed talking to her as well as Dadi. They have talked about everything; the past mostly before Preeta left India.
