Tommy and Salem arrived at tommy's house, instantly greeted by his mum who was wearing a smile upon seeing Salem. she waved them into the living room where two hot chocolates and some pizza was on the table.
"i thought you might be hungry since you usually eat late so i got mum to put in a pizza." Tommy smiled, his usually hyper behaviour wiped away and replaced with a much more calm and shy persona.
Salem smiled up at him, "thank you."
"Salem, you can either sleep on the air mattress in tommy's room or on the couch."
"no she can have my bed. i'll sleep on the air bed." Tommy objected.
Salem didn't bother arguing, knowing how stubborn Tommy was. she just nodded in agreement and the two moved to sit on the couch. Tommy picked up the remote and pressed play on a movie.
"i was gonna watch captain america and the winter soldier before you texted so now you have to watch it with me."
Tommy shuffled closer to Salem and she awkwardly leaned into him, a blush falling on her cheeks. Tommy felt his breath hitch at the closeness. it was unusual for him and Salem. and the way he was feeling right now was a way he never expected to feel about her.
"Tommy." Salem whispered softly, Tommy just hummed in response, "you're a good friend. even if your a dick sometimes i really appreciate you." she felt herself clinging closer to him.
"you're a good friend too, Salem."
and Tommy had never felt so hurt to call Salem Mullins just a friend.
