Sophie got up and started heading inside. DId she actually love Keefe? Yes, Keefe had always helped her when she needed it and he was always there for her. He also just made Sophie smile. She definitely loved him. If that girl believed she should confess, then she should at least give it a try right?
Sophie sighed as she grabbed her dress. What if Keefe didn't forgive her? What if he didnt love her back? Sophie willed the negative thoughts away and got ready for the foxfire ball. The Grand Foxfire Ball actually.
"Your Hair!" Vertina gasped.
"What?" Sophie looked at herself in the mirror. It looked fine to her.
"It's beautiful!" Vertina exclaimed. "This is your first time actually doing your hair right!"
"Thanks!" Sophie told her mirror. That mirror was always trying to fix her appearance and if she didn't today maybe Sophie actually did something right for once.
Sophie slipped on the bracelet and walked out of the door. It was time for the ball.
"Wow, Soph! You look beautiful!" Biana exclaimed. "I didn't do your makeup today but it looks fabulous!"
"Thanks, Biana! You look pretty too!" Sophie told her. Biana was a Vacker so of course she looked that pretty.
"Come on, let's go!" Biana grabbed her arm and lept them to Foxfire.
Sophie gasped. Foxfire was decorated with glitter shimmering jewels and there were so many people dancing to soft music. There were also a few huge tables filled with food. Sophie's mouth watered just by looking at them. Sophie looked around for their friends but she couldn't see anyone but Tam.
"Biana, do you see our friends?" she asked. There was no reply. Sophie turned around to see that Biana was already gone. She was walking towards Tam.
Sophie decided to leave them alone and go eat. She grabbed a plate and filled it with Mallowmelt. She took a bite of the delicious treat. She looked around to see where her friends were. She spotted Dex in the left corner talking to Marella. And in the right corner she saw Linh and Wylie talking. Biana and Tam were dancing, and Fitz was talking to this other girl. Where was Keefe? Did he decide not to come because of her? Was he still angry at her? Of course he was.
"Hey Foster! Did you miss me?" Keefe asked from behind, stretching out a hand to steal her Mallowmelt. Weren't they supposed to be mad at each other?
"Um...hi," she said. She wasn't expecting him to be back to his normal self.
"I forgive you Foster, what I did was wrong." he told her, biting into a gooey piece.
"Oh, okay." she told him, confused.
"You're probably thinking of the time I actually got a brain," Keefe smirked.
Sophie laughed, "Oh sure."
"Did you see Biana and Tammy boy?" he asked.
"Yeah," she replied, glancing at them.
Keefe smirked again, "We have a way to black mail them." Sophie grinned evilly.
"Do you want to dance too, Foster?" Keefe asked her.
"Um.....I can't dance, Keefe!" she sighed. She was always so clumsy.
"I think you can dance just fine, I'll lead the way." he smirked when she blushed.
He grabbed her arm and gently pulled her to dance with him. Sophie's heart fluttered when he touched her.
They gently swayed to the music.
"Keefe, I- I- I have to tell you something." Sophie said, nervously.
"What Foster?" Keefe asked, leaning towards her. "I can feel your emotions, you know." Sophie blushed furiously. Keefe just smirked.
"Tell me, Foster. Tell me." Keefe said.
"I- I- love you, Keefe," Sophie mumbled.
"What'd you say, Foster?" Keefe asked, leaning closer. Sophie knew Keefe knew exactly what she said.
"I love you, Keefe," Sophie repeated.
"You don't know how long I've been waiting to hear that," Keefe told her. Sophie blushed.
Keefe leaned forwards as Sophie leaned forward. Their lips met and they stayed like that for a long time. And as they both pulled back, Keefe whispered, "I love you, Foster. I love you!"
