Chapter Twenty Three: Animal I Have Become

*Time jump to the start of the fall football season*

Toni's POV:

It was the start off the season. It was currently Friday. Me and Ronnie have been great. She got used to me and Hanna being friends. She understood there was nothing there anymore besides a friendship. Hanna was actually starting to hook up with Emily. I didn't bother to ask questions. I figured they would be together at some point.

We were playing against the SoDale Vipers. They weren't really in our league but we still had to play them in order to move up in to the championship playoff most likely against Stonewall Prep. We were playing defense as the game started. The ball snapped and I was on it. The guy tried to fake me out and go around me but I was too fast for him. I took him down. I didn't bother helping him up. 

I was in the zone as the second quarter started. SoDale had no points on the board as we started offensive. Archie and I called our play. I ran as fast as I could, catching the ball and bolting to the endzone. 

That's pretty much how the whole game went. I let a few of my teammates rack up some points but I mainly carried us through with Archie backing me up. The game ended with SoDale having no points on the board. They walked away defeated. 

After the team put me and Archie down, Ronnie ran into my arms and we kissed in front of everyone. All of our friends cheered us on. I grabbed my bag and helmet, heading to the locker room to shower. 

I was almost done with my shower when I heard someone come in. I was about to step out and dry off when I was pushed back and lips attached to mine, Ronnie. I kissed back, pushing her into the wall. She moan at the contact. I noticed she was naked when I pulled away to check if anyone else was in here. I heard and saw no one. 

I pressed her against the wall face first. I grabbed a condom out of my wallet in my jeans that were in my bags outside of my stall. I put it on and slowly slid myself into her. She was so tight and wet that I groan as I lean her into me. My hand wrapped around her throat and pounded into her. The sound of skin hitting skin and her strangled moans filled the shower room. 

We both came with a passion as we rode out our high together. We both got dressed. I gave her my second pair of gym shorts and one of my shirts. Damn she looked good in my clothes. I quickly got dressed and we headed home. 

We practiced all week until our next game. It was today. The week was normal. Classes, practice, hanging out with my friends on the weekend and dinner with my love every night. 

The game started like normal. We didn't let them score at all. We ended up winning with them having nothing. We were on fire and I was on fire. I was passing all my classes, killing it on the field and made time for all the important people in my life. 

I decided to take Ronnie on a proper date tonight after our third game. We were on a straight path to the championship. There was two more games before we qualify for the play offs but coach pretty much said we have a guaranteed place. 

The fair was in town and I decided to take her there. It was great. I won her teddy bears and little trophy's all night. We kissed at the top of the Ferris wheel and watched the lights from above. We laid on a blanket and watched the fireworks over the river. It was truly amazing. 

We headed home after the fair was closing for the night. I ran her a hot bath and when she was done, a massage that led to us having sex. I was truly just trying to be nice and sweet but it turned her on and it did me too. 

The next morning, we went to school and a fight was happening. I noticed the Serpent jackets and ran over. It was Sweet pea and Reggie. God damn Mantel just can't keep his mouth shut. Sweet was about to hit him when I pushed him back, "Settled the fuck now. You stand down." I said, pointing to Sweet. He threw his hands up and did what I said. "What is the problem now Mantel?" I asked, now facing him. "You are. You're my problem. You think you're some sort of a god. You don't belong here. You're an animal that deserves to be locked away. Everyone around you is in danger. Everyone you love has died because of you. How do you sleep at night Topaz? Knowing that one day, everyone you love will die because of you?" He said. I was going to ignore him when he touched my back and shoved me into Sweet. He caught me but I was enraged. My eyes went dark and everything he said got to me.
