Chapter 2: Sleepy Drive

They were 5 minutes in and they were having so much fun.

Music blasting, singing as loud and as horrible as they wanted, windows down, wind flowing through the boy's hair as they sped down the highway (at a good limit though, since dream wasn't looking to get a ticket), sipping drinks and eating snacks as they pleased.

As all 5 boys took turns choosing songs to play, sapnap had an idea. "Oh oh oh! Can I play a song?? Please?" Gimme the phone" He repeatedly tapped George's left shoulder for the phone until George gave it to him.

The other boys were confused as to why he urgently wanted to play his song, but didn't question him directly. "This song is dedicated to Dream and George" is all Sapnap said as the 2 boys mentioned looked at each other.

Heat waves started playing through the car speakers and Sapnap Karl and Quackity busted up laughing, singing along. George's face was flushed red and Dream tried to focus on the road, continuously looking over at George and glaring at Sapnap.

Dream didn't wanna make it awkward so he decided to play along. "C'mon George! Let's have fun! " Dream started singing the lyrics as he turned up the volume. George was hesitant at first but he eventually gave in and started to sing along and go with the joke.

Heat waves faded out and Quackity couldn't stop laughing. Karl mentioned that he's had to pee ever since Sapnap played one of his country songs and yelled about buying a horse about an hour ago. "I'll stop soon, there's a gas station like half a mile away from where we are. " Karl nodded as George played another song.

Pulling up to the gas station, Quackity and Karl shot out of the car urgent to pee. George also had to go too, but he wasn't rushing since his need wasn't bad. Dream and Sapnap bought some more snacks and ended up in the car before the other 3 boys.

Running out of the store filled with laughter, Karl Quackity and George raced to the car with red faces from laughing so much. Dream and Sapnap were confused nonetheless, and Dream asked "Don't tell me..." and the other 3 boys laughed so much more.

Sapnap rolled his eyes a bit and sighed "Guys we can't get kicked out of every single gas station, come on" Karl chimed in and said "No no no we didn't get kicked out technically"

Dream glared at the 3 boys in the backseat and rolled his eyes. "Are they calling the cops?"

That sentence caused the 3 boys to laugh more, sapnap chiming in a bit asking what they did.

"We kinda made a slurpee mess"

"And stole some snacks"

"And poured some soda on the cashier"

Dream started the car and got out of the parking lot as soon as he could.

They blasted music and were soon on their way closer and closer to The City of Fun. They made their way through highways and cities, a couple large lands of nothing but grass.

The boys all took a stop at a diner to eat after Sapnap and Karl complained for 20 minutes about being hungry. The diner consisted of any food you wanted; they had breakfast, lunch and dinner options. So they ate, enough to fill them up but not get sick from the car ride.

After Quackity and Sapnap split the check arguing with Dream over who would pay it, the boys were back in the car and on the road.

For most of the rest of the ride, half of the boys were always asleep. They basically took turns taking naps flip flopping from being woken up and annoyed about it.

They had about an hour left of the drive and they were so excited. They had reached some cities finally, after hours of nothing but grass.

All the music and their talking filled each other's ears, Quackity being in a mood from being woken up.

"Oh, this looks like a city in the UK actually, close to where I live," George mumbled from the front seat.

Sapnap rolled down his window wanting to get a better view of the beautiful city. Karl rested his head on Sapnap's shoulder and slowly dozed off after about 10 minutes.

Soon enough, Sapnap and Quackity fell back asleep which left Dream and George awake. They were holding hands and just enjoying each other's presence. A low hum of music played through the car speakers, turned down so the backseat boys could sleep peacefully.

After about 30 minutes of 3 sleeping boys in the backseat, and Dream and George semi flirting and quietly singing to music, they arrived at the hotel they would be staying at. Dream let go of the steering wheel and reached his arm to the back seat and gently slapped the boy's knees - hard enough to wake them up though.

Quackity was first to wake up, saying "holy shit, this hotel looks dope" after taking one look out the window to the beautiful hotel. Karl and Sapnap woke up and Karl blushed after noticing he was laying on Sapnap's chest.

"Alright, let's find a spot to park and go check in, yeah?" Dream drove around looking for a parking spot semi close to the front, and the boys piled out and into the open trunk to get their suitcases and backpacks. Dream didn't take his bags yet but instead went inside the hotel to check in and get their room keys.
