Chapter 5: Cold Treats and Karaoke

"Ice Cream?"

The boys all cheered in agreement to Karl's suggestion, who was driving since Dream didn't want to drive. 'Hurt his foot during bowling' or something. The other boys just didn't want to drive or weren't trusted to drive.

Quackity was in the front, after Sapnap argued with him that he should be in front since he's taller. They raced to the car from the bowling alley but Quackity won. "Fuck you and your short ass legs Q. Now I'm stuck with the fucking lovebirds back here."

"Sapnap shut up. He won, you'll survive." George chimed in. Everyone agreed and laughed. George usually wasn't bold on camera, in a serious way anyways.

"Shut the fuck up british boy," Sapnap snapped back. Dream laughed because it was funny whenever Sapnap was angry, especially if it was something dumb like bowling.

Karl started the car, and they drove off. Quackity turned on some Spanish music, and they all danced and sang and had a great time.

The five of them were inseparable. Their group dynamic was perfect, and just great to be around if you were. They all loved being around each other, and they just fit so well.

Sapnap zoned out for a bit, thinking about just them. The way they clicked, and always had a good time no matter what they were doing.

Karl pulled into the parking lot of the nearest ice cream shop, and they all piled out of the car. The boys walked up and walked in, immediately going up to the ice cream selection. The shop was almost empty, besides one person sat at a table reading a book.

"It's a bit odd to read a book in an ice cream parlor, no?" George whispered to Dream, the taller lightly hitting his shoulder.

"Leave the person alone, George damn." Dream laughed it off and turned George around, "Go pick your ice cream pretty boy."

They all got waffle cones, although no one knew the difference between a sugar cone, waffle cone, or normal. Sapnap and Dream got vanilla, George got chocolate brownie, Karl got strawberry and Quackity got cookies and cream.

They sat outside the parlor and ate their cold treat, the sun beaming down onto the umbrella on top of them all. They chatted about and shared ideas of what to do next. Everyone was a bit tired so they decided to go back to their hotel.

They all settled down in their rooms, then Karl Quackity and Sapnap went to Dream and George's room to watch movies. They all snuggled up on the couch and put on whatever movie they could find and all agree on.

Soon after the movie started, everyone fell asleep.

Dream was first to wake up, and his phone read 7:49pm. He got up from the couch, and went to the restroom. As he was washing his hands he heard someone get up, and went out to see who it was.

He saw Quackity on his phone, taking a photo of the other three boys sleeping on him. "Oh hey Dream," Q said in a semi whisper.

Dream waved as he walked over. He saw Quackity post the photo to his instagram story with the caption "Does anyone know a place to hide these"

"Do you think they'll be down for karaoke?" Dream asks Quackity

"Fuck yeah"

The rest of the boys woke up semi quickly, and they were on their way to a karaoke restaurant about 10 minutes away from their hotel.

Everyone was dressed semi formally, Karl in a sweatshirt over a white button up and patterned pants, Quackity in a Hawaiian shirt and black jeans. Dream was wearing a black button up with navy blue dress pants, Sapnap in a plain black shirt with dark grey pants and George was in a burgundy button up and black dress pants.

They walked in and there was little to no people there. Sapnap immediately went to the open couch and table, waving for everyone to go sit with him.

The second they sat down, a waiter came up to them and greeted himself.

"Hi I'm Arturo, I'll be your waiter for today, here are your menus. I'll come back in a second for your drinks."

Dream and a few others thank him as he walks away, and Quackity jokingly says "He was kinda cute."

Everyone laughs and Sapnap gives Q a look before laughing himself. They each grabbed a menu and started to look at the drinks.

Karl got up and went over to the karaoke area, and browsed through all the songs. He signed himself up for You Belong With Me by Taylor Swift after 2 people.

After they ordered their drinks it was time for Karl to go up and sing. He gave looks to Sapnap and Quackity during specific parts of the song.

Dream was next to sing, singing Can't Take my Eyes Off of You by Frankie Valli, obviously for George. George sat blushing and laughing as the table of boys teased him.

Many songs, laughs, a lot of food, and hours later they ended up back at their hotel. Sound asleep in their own hotel rooms, until noon the next day.
