(ALSO BILLIE IS NOT FAMOUS IN THIS STORY)
———————————————————————————

Dear Diary,

Go fuck yourself. Just kidding. I don't know what to write in this stupid thing. Anyway, hi. My name is Aurora. I'm a boring 17 year old girl who's known as the quiet kid in school. I work at a small diner and make shit money. I'm not special, is what I'm trying to say, and I'm ok with that. I'm a loner. I moved to Los Angeles last year and let's just say it hasn't been as fun as I had pictured.

I fell into a lonely, depressive state, attempted to overdose, and got sent to a therapist. My therapist gave me this diary because she thought it would "help my moods." I keep losing my temper...a lot. I don't want to, but it just spills out. It's because my dad sort of died...last spring.

*flashback*

"So I'm supposed to write... what, now? I don't get it" I muttered to my therapist as I sat with my arms folded. "Anything. Everything. Whatever comes to mind." I rolled my eyes and took the small, blue journal. "Think of it as talking to yourself. No one will ever read it but you" she remarked.

"Can't I just... use my phone" I questioned. "Hmm... Your phone will be distracting. You need something more therapeutic, don't you think? I want you to at least attempt to have a normal high-school experience."

*end of flashback*

Anyway, here's to a "normal high-school experience"... or whatever the fuck that's supposed to mean.

*present day*

"Aurora! Table 7 needs their orders taken," my manager yelled. I rolled my eyes as I walked from behind the counter and over to table 7 with a notepad in my hands. "Are you guys ready to order," I asked with a slight attitude. "Uh, yeah we'll both just get classic burgers with fries."

"Ok, your food will be out soon," I said as I walked back behind the counter, hanging the paper on the order wheel.

"See you tomorrow," my co-worker, Susan, said as she walked out the door, leaving me to be the last one in the diner. I had the night shift so my manager left me to close up the diner and finish up the basic needs tonight. I was wiping down the counter and then I heard the familiar bell on the door, signaling that someone had entered the diner.

"Take a seat I'll be with you in a minute" I said while I kept my focus on the cloth in my hand. There wasn't an answer or a sound of any movement, so I lifted my head up and my heart fluttered at the sight of a beautiful, pale girl with blue eyes and silver-blue hair standing in the doorway. "Sorry, I just wanted to get out of the rain" she shyly spoke.

"Oh...uh- that's fine. Do you uh- want something to drink" I asked with a stutter. "Actually, yeah, could I have a glass of water," she asked. "Sure." She took a seat at one of the stools in-front of the counter and I brought her a glass of water.

She gulped the water down in like 20 seconds and then I asked "So, are you from around here?" "Yeah, I've lived in L.A all my life. How 'bout you" she responded. "Oh, I just moved here like last year" I told her. "Nice."

I wanted to keep the conversation going so I asked "Do you go to school?" "No, actually, I'm homeschooled" she said. "Oh, no wonder why I haven't seen you around" I remarked. "Yeah, I'm kind of a loner anyways," she said while letting out a chuckle.

God, this girl has no flaws. I let out a laugh after her and said "I'm a loner, but it's not that I want to be. I just hate meeting new people." "Yeah, I get what you mean." There was an awkward silence before she said "Oh, my name's Billie, by the way." "I'm Aurora."

"That's a nice name," she said before a slight blush showed on across her cheeks. "Thanks," I said with a smile. "Well, it's getting late. I should probably get going" she said. I quickly wrote my number on a piece of paper and handed it to Billie. "Here's my number. We should definitely get to know each other more."

Billie smiled and said, "I'll text you" before walking out of the diner door. I locked up the diner and made my way back home with Billie in my head the whole time.

Dear Diary,

I'm still confused on what to write in this thing, but I met a girl tonight. Her name's Billie and she's probably one of the most beautiful girls I've ever seen. She has blue hair, blue eyes, pale skin, and her voice is just...gentle. I gave her my number. Hopefully she texts me. When I saw her for the first time I just felt something I've never felt before. I can't explain it. I could just scream into my pillow thinking about her. Speaking of pillows, I'm exhausted. Goodnight, diary.
