BILLIE'S POV

"Hello? Hello," I questioned as Aurora went silent on the other end of the line. My heart was racing. I ran to my car and drove as fast as I possibly could to the school. Once I reached the opening of the woods I slammed on my brakes and sprinted into the woods, not even shutting my car off.

"Aurora, where are you," I repetitively yelled. I ran deeper and deeper into the woods until I heard a chain of coughing coming from behind me. I turned around and looked to my left. I saw Aurora on the ground, helpless.

She was bleeding from her nose, mouth, and she had a deep gash in her leg. I knelt on the ground and picked Aurora up. I moved as fast as I could to my car, with Aurora in my arms, and placed her in the backseat.

The hospital's doors automatically opened."Somebody, please help," I yelled with tears streaming down my face. I held Aurora in my arms like a bride. A few doctors came to me and brought a gurney with them. "Hey, you're ok. I love you," I said to Aurora as the doctors put her on the gurney and her eyes fought to stay open.

I tried to follow Aurora and the doctors through the swinging emergency doors, but I was stopped by another doctor who told me to go sit down. I sat in the waiting room, silently. I had Aurora's blood on my shirt and everyone looked at me like I was psychotic.

About an hour of sitting in the waiting room passed and I still haven't heard anything from doctors. I saw doctors coming in and out of the emergency doors, none of them coming to me, and it gave me false hope. I saw another doctor come out of the emergency doors and he started to make his way over to me.

He sat down on the couch next to me. "She lost too much blood. We couldn't do anything, I'm so sorry for your loss." It felt like I had just been stabbed in the heart. Tears flooded my eyes. "She's the only one I have, she can't be," I weakly stuttered. "I'm sorry," the doctor repeated, as he opened his arms to give me a hug.

"I've always wanted to bring you flowers. Just not like this, not at your grave," I said, as I placed flowers next to Aurora's tombstone. I sat down on the grass.

"The thing about you was that you always noticed people in their darkest times, but no one ever noticed you. I never noticed you," I muttered. "That was one of my flaws. I hated my flaws, but you learned to love them. That's another thing about you."

Tears fell down my cheeks as I added "Oh, I also have your diary safe with me. I didn't read it. I know how you liked your privacy." "Well, I should get going. I have something important to do. I love you."

I started my engine and drove into the center of Los Angeles. I parked and shut the car off, but I left the car unlocked with the keys, and my belongings inside. I walked into the tall building and hit the top floor on the elevator. As soon as I got to the rooftop I felt a gust of wind hit my face.

I walked to the edge. "Aurora, you said you loved the stars, in fact, I grew to love them too. I noticed they shine brighter now that you've joined them. Together, we can be the brightest stars of them all," I said as I stepped closer to the edge.

I shut my eyes and spread my arms. I felt...amazing. I leaned farther and farther forward until my feet weren't touching anything. I felt myself falling. It was peaceful in a way.

"See, I told you I'll be the one you have, forever."

End.
