✿Alvah✿
It's been a week, I'm deeply bored. I was getting dressed into a flower top and light washed jeans. I put on some shoes and walked downstairs.
Me and Elijah talk occasionally. I got to his office and softly knocked into a harsh come in spoke.
Elijah's gaze softened when he noticed it was me.
"I'm bored," I complained, flopping on his office couch. Elijah took off his work glasses and looked up at me.
"Ok" he dragged on.
"I want to go out" I said looking out the window as rain trickled down the glass. The light rain was peaceful enough to go out in.
"It's raining" Elijah voiced, I gave him a 'I'm not blind' look before sitting up.
"Isn't there a library or coffee shop nearby?" I questioned just needing to get out of the house.
Elijah made a hefty sigh before standing up "come one , while the rain is dying down" I jumped up squealing in happiness.
I ran upstairs to change into a white blouse looking dress, I slid on my brown boots, I jogged downstairs to see Elijah there ready.
Once he opened the door the rain had calmed down a bit.
Elijah started walking so I followed his lead. The team house was in a beautiful spot, there was a huge field with really green grass. Flowers slowly dying which made me frown.
"They'll grow back" Elijah noticed looking over.
Elijah then stopped in front of this worn down place. It looked kind of aesthetic to be honest.
The sign was labeled open with a pink flashing light.
I reached for the door handle and pulled it back. A little song was playing in the background as I took the time to admire the place.
The feeling was cozy and safe here, there were also many shelves with books on them, surrounded by brown cozy looking chairs with throw over blankets on them.
I noticed a front counter with coffee machines and a barista with an apron and a cap smiling at Elijah.
"It's been awhile" The lady said coming around the counter. Tall, implausibly ripe. She had long grey hair. Her smile was so contagious. So full of life.
"Oh and you brought a friend," She teased, smiling at me. I smiled back in a sincere return.
"Susan this is Alvah, Alvah this is Susan" Elijah introduced us. I went in to shake her hand but she pulled me into a bone crushing hug.
"Susan let the girl breathe"Elijah tried as Susan sent him a look making Elijah go quiet.
After Susan finished showing me around, which was amazing. The whole place is beautiful.
I ordered a pumpkin spice latte with sweet foam. At first I was confused about ordering seeing I never ordered my own food before.
Elijah had a very complicated order, Carmel latte non fat foam. Drizzled Caramel, 100% milk, on ice.
Once we sat down on the couch that was on the far back, I opened my book I picked from the shelf, started reading. Elijah said he was still looking for a book but soon found one and sat next to me.
"I'm finished" I shared closing the book as Elijah shot me an impressed look.
"That was fast," He said, closing his book.
I giggled to myself thinking it wasn't really fast. "My school made us finished books 3 times this big in one day"
"Rich people schools," Elijah said, shaking his head.
"Not like I had a choice" I muttered before downing my coffee and throwing it in the trash.
I walked around and noticed it was raining hard this time. I squealed before running out of the cafe ignoring the shouts from Elijah.
Once I made it outside I was immediately soaked by the soft droplets of hard rain.
I danced around in the rain feeling free, At the royal house I wasn't allowed outside during the rain nor snow. I would just sit and read books.
"Really Alvah" Elijah said, stepping out in the rain, as his white button up got soaked sticking to his muscles.
"What! It's raining" I said, jumping around in the puddles.
"You're going to get sick," Elijah said, crossing his arms.
I thought of a good idea, as I squatted down and cupped my hands, and scooped up some water. I brought it up quickly and splashed Elijah's face.
He stood there amazed, as he took a long deep breath. "I gotta go" I rushed out as I took a chance and started running down the hill of the field.
I started skidding, cursing myself for wearing non grip shoes. I lost my balance and rolled down the hill. I was still laughing.
My legs felt numb after the fall as I sat there in the position I landed laughing.
"Are-" Elijah started before he slipped over his own shoe and tumbled down just like me. I was too busy laughing. I didn't notice Elijah was going to roll on me.
I was about to move before I was tackled down, basically making us both roll over. I was laughing so hard still.
"I love the rain" I said looking down at Elijah who still looked stunned. He rolled off of being beside me laying on his back looking up.
I almost forgot it was raining, "Do you believe in love?" I randomly cursed myself for asking a personal question.
Elijah turned his head to look at me, "I think not everyone can be loved, Bad people don't deserve it. Love is overrated. Love only comes for those whom look for it"
"You?" Elijah asked looking back up at the sky that was dark blue with clouds covering most.
"I think everyone has that one person, A soul mate that you're destined with. I think everyone deserves love. Pure love. Not forced love" I pondered out loud.
"How do you feel about being.... Royal?" Elijah hesitated.
I wiped my face with my hand as my hair stuck to my face. My dress stuck to my body. Mud all over my dress. It was fun.
"I hate it, I would give anything to be able to leave. Just run away. And have a tiny family. One girl, one boy. Live in a tiny cottage Get a job, I wanna be a Defense Attorney" I rambled on.
"I think you can do it" Elijah smiled at me.
"Thanks"
We spent hours watching the rain get harder. Just laying there.
"I wanna dance," I said, getting up being soaked and wet. Elijah sent me a weird look.
I shrugged before taking his hand and forcing him up.
I tried to twirl Elijah around but he wouldn't cooperate. Next thing I know I'm being twirled. I placed my arms around his neck, he placed his hands around my waist as we swayed around.
I personally like dancing, fun fact I was on the dance team, I did ballet forced, of course but I learned to love it. I won many awards for that. I also did tango. It was my favorite one.
Elijah twirled me around like a ballerina, softly dipping me down making me chuckle a bit.
The most fun I've had in a while.
