Chapter Three

It was 3 in the afternoon and Wendy was on her way to Joy's house after school. The sun was bright and shining in the sweaty girl's eyes, but she didn't mind nor care.

Soon enough, she found herself a Joy's door. She knocked lightly and almost in the tune of a song until Joy came to the door.

She had a towel wrapped around her head, pink pajama pants and a white t shirt with a small green dinosaur on the front on. It looked like she had just gotten out of the shower.

"Come in!" Joy told Wendy, the older girl stepping into the large home. She took her shoes off at the door and walked to Joy's room, which Joy followed.

Both of the girls sat at opposite ends of Joy's twin size bed, talking about their day until Joy remembered the entire reason they met up.

"Oh! I just remembered the game!" Joy exclaimed, pulling out her phone. She opened the spin the wheel and saw that there was only one option left, and the name was Bae Joohyun.

"Ah, erm.. You're sure you wanna play, Wendy?" Joy asked, getting a reassuring nod from the other.

"Alright, your match is... Irene.." Joy said, watching Wendy's expression completely change from excited to devastated.

"Are you serious? Irene?! Bae Joohyun?!" Wendy asked again, Joy nodded and placing her phone in front of Wendy so she can see the results.

"It's not another Bae Joohyun..?" Wendy asked, Joy shaking her head left to right. Wendy sighed loudly and fell backwards, back leaning against the headboard.

"This'll be awkward.. You need to pretend to date your bully for 15 days, starting tomorrow." Joy said. She truly felt had for Wendy because she knew about all the bullying she had to endure from Irene.

"Are you sure you can do it?" Joy asked her friend, visible concern in her eyes.

Wendy stayed quiet for a bit, thinking if she wanted to take this risk or not. What was the risk, you ask? Her entire social life. If Wendy told Irene that they had to fake date, Irene would laugh in her face then tell her friends and word would spread quickly.

Then, Wendy would be ruined. But, Wendy was confident in this.

"Yes, I'll do it. You said it starts tomorrow, right?" Wendy asked Joy, a small yet visible smirk growing on Joys face.

"Yup, tomorrow as soon as school starts." Joy replied, texting the groupchat.
