Chapter Nine

"Why I never stopped..?" Irene asked, Wendy nodding.

"Believe it or not, I was once in your spot. I got bullied and pushed around everyday and I couldn't take it anymore and started becoming the bully once high school started." Irene said.

"I didn't want to be pushed around anymore, so I started pushing others around. I wanted the power that my bullies had, so I held my ground and bullied those who were weak and couldn't defend themselves." Irene continued.

"So, you just bully people to defend yourself..?" Wendy asked. "I guess you could put it like that." Irene said before sighing.

"You know the pain, but you still bully people.. Why? You know how upsetting it is to be an outcast and how lonely it can be to go to school and have nobody, but you still.. Ugh.." Wendy sighed in disappointment.

"I still forgive you. I know it must've been hard, but you don't need to be afraid of getting hurt anymore. I'm here now." Wendy said, tears forming in Irene's eyes.

The two hugged for a bit before heading back to school to finish their studies for the day and go back home.

On Wendy's way back home, she saw Irene in the distance.

"Hey Ir-" Wendy said while waving and running towards Irene until she stopped herself, accidentally over hearing Irene's conversation with Jennie.

"I'll admit it, I think I like Wendy.. I opened up to her a lot today and I dreamed of her last night." Irene told Jennie. Wendy's jaw dropped.

Wendy turned around and ran the other way, not wanting Irene to see her and think she was eavesdropping.

Wendy took out her phone and texted Joy right away.
