The bold writing is your thoughts

The school athletics day, the pinch on the high jump mat, knowing that mum was going to trip over my shoes.

"Do you happen to know how Spider-Man became Spider-Man?" I asked Peter, him standing right next to me while I was trying to figure all this out.

"I did some research and I think he got bitten by a radioactive spider or something like that."

So the pinch on the high jump mat must have been some sort of radioactive spider.

"Ok cool, thank you."

"No problem." He said as he walked away.

I'm thinking about all of this crazy spider stuff and accidentally bump into someone.

"OMG, I'm so sorry," I said quickly, trying to grab my things off the floor.

"Hey! Watch where you're going Tucker!"

Oh no, I know that voice from anywhere. Flash Thompson, our schools worst bully. He bullies Ned, Peter and me. I don't know why either, he just has it in for us I guess.

"There are these things you have on your face called eyes, maybe you should learn to use them sometime!" He snapped.

"To be honest Thompson, it's partly your fault as well, you have a pair of eyes too, don't you?" I retorted.

"Shut your mouth, you'll regret what you say."

"Yeah," I said stepping closer to him in an intimidating way. "What are you gonna do, punch me?"

Just as I had said that he swung his arm around, hoping that it would have come into contact with my check. But what he didn't know was that I knew it was coming, so I was able to duck underneath it and get away quickly. I quickly turned around before going around the corner and saw Flash standing there looking confused with where I had gone.

Time skip to lunch

By the time lunch hit, I couldn't sit still, so I went to find the school nurse and tell her that I had stomach pains and that it was 'that time of the month.' She gave me some Nurofen and told me that if I still had the pains by the end of lunch, I should go home and get some rest. So I guess I had to wait another 15 minutes before I could get out here.

I went to find Liv, which wasn't too hard considering she was always in an empty classroom drawing. Though the thing was I didn't know which classroom she was in. Being the annoying school that Midtown is, we have a no phones policy. Most of the students ignore it and use their phones anyway. I went into the bathroom and quickly texted Liv to ask which classroom she was in. Even though Liv is one of those girls that all the teachers love, she still used her phone if it was one hundred per cent necessary, which is why I only text her if I need to. She texted me back saying that she was in F109.

I got there in about 5 minutes since our school is pretty straightforward, and I feel like these new powers that I got enhanced my running a bit. "Hey," I said as I walked into the classroom.

"Hey, what's up?" She asked, pausing her drawing of what looked like Peter.

"Nothing much just came to see you before I go home.."

"What, you're going home? Why?"

"It's that time of the month for me."

"Oh yeah, I completely understand. You feeling alright?"

"Yeah I'm ok, I just need to rest."

"Yeah, hope you feel better tomorrow."

"Thanks." I said walking out the door. The bell for the end of lunch was going to go soon, so I quickly walked back to the sickbay, changing my mood just before walking in.

"Hey, still not feeling great?" Sarah (our nurse) asked me.

"Not really, it still hurts."

"Ok well, I'll call your mum and let her know that you're on your way home."

"Don't stress, I can do it. You look pretty busy." I said motioning to the boys covered in blood.

"You don't mind? Thank you so much." She said as I left the room.

Once I left the school I quickly found an alleyway that was closed off and decided to try out those powers that Peter told me about. First off I tried super strength. I picked up a full dumpster successfully, so I can tick that off my list. I already knew about the 6th sense so I didn't need to experiment with that. I thought I might try some extra as well. What else can spiders do? They can. . . climb up walls, so I thought I could try that out. I put my right hand and foot on the wall, and then the left side. I looked down and realised that neither of my feet were on the ground anymore. So that's another thing I can tick off the list, and I'm also a little faster than what I was before as well.

I checked the time and saw that school had just finished so I turn around and see a figure standing at the entry of the alleyway. It looked like it was a man. Damn it! He definitely would have seen me climbing the wall. I put my hood over my head and start to walk out. As I was walking past the man he put his hand out to block me from walking out and said "Hang on kid." I'm so screwed.

"Yes?" I asked, looking up at the man, "OMG, your Captain America!" I couldn't believe my eyes. Captain America had stopped me and most likely had seen me trying out everything.

"Yes I am, now I saw you trying out your little tricks just then. You a hero?" He asked me.

"No sir, you see, I only realised I had powers the other day."

"You have a name?"

OMG, Captain America wants to know my name! "It's Y/N sir."

"Ok Y/N, what about your hero's name?"

"Redback," I said, coming up with it on the spot, proud of myself.

"What about a suit?"

"No sir, I haven't come up with any designs for a suit yet."

"Ok well, we can fix that. I remember Tony had some failed designs that he was making secretly. We'll have to steal one of those."

"Steal?" I asked him.

"It's a long story."

"Um, ok. But what is this for?" I asked, unsure of why this was happening. I had so many questions.

"We'll talk about it later when there is more time, but for now, goodbye Y/N."
