"Come on Y/n, your going to be late!"

"Coming mum."

"Alright, do you have everything?"

"Yes, I have my lunch all packed and I also packed some snacks to share around as well."

"I'm sorry I can't come and watch you, work really needed me in today!" Mum works for S.H.I.E.L.D so she's busy most of the time.

"It's alright, if they need you then they need you, not everyone is lucky enough to be chosen to be Nick Fury's assistant. There's nothing we can do about that."

"Thanks, hun, I'll see you after school and you can tell me how you went."

"Ok, have a good day at work. I love you."

"I love you more." And at that, I walked out the door.

Today was the day that we had our year 10 house sports. My best friends and I are all in the same house. Our school has four houses. Red (Iron Man), Blue (Captain America), Yellow (Thor) and Green (Hulk), which is our house. Yes, our school named their sports houses after the Avengers but that's our way of honouring them. Liv (who I have known since we were born) lives in the apartment block next door to ours. The five of us (us being Liv, Me, Peter, Ned and MJ) all live in Queens, so some of our houses are within walking distance but to get to Neds we have to catch the train on the way to school.

I walked next door and no sooner did I get to the front door Liv had walked out.

"Oh hey, you got here quick." She stated.

"I mean, we do live next door to each other." I reminded her. "Ready to go pick up the others?"

"Yep"

We walked around the corner to Peters apartment. Liv has had a crush on this boy since the very first time that we met him in Primary School.

"I can't wait for our first day of school," I exclaimed. "It's going to be so exciting!"

"Are you sure? I'm a bit nervous, we're not going to see our mums until 2:30."

"That's better than the rest of the school, they don't finish until 3:30"

"Y/n, I don't think you understand what I mean, I'm not as excited for school as you are."

"Oh, don't worry, I'll look after you!"

"Thanks!"

Time skip to first class

On the next table, we will have Olivia, Y/n, Ned and Peter and on our very last table of six, we will have Michael, Emma, Sarah, Kate, Elise and Andrew. If everyone can move off tho their allocated tables, we can start our first task."

Time skip to the end of the day

"I had the best day today!" Liv looked so happy.

"See, it wasn't so bad was it?" I asked her.

"No, it wasn't that bad. That boy Peter was really nice."

Back to present

That was the first sign of her 'obsession', but I was too young to understand, and so was Liv.

Knock Knock Knock

Peter's Aunt May opened the door.

"Hey girls, Peter is just about done." Just as May had finished her sentence Peter had appeared in the doorway.

"Hey Pete," I said.

"Hey guys, ready for the athletics carnival today?"

"I guess so," Liv said a bit more reluctantly than I would have, she never really was into sport, she was more of the academic type. Whereas me on the other hand. . . I absolutely love sport, so I was pumped.

"Yeah, I can't wait, what about you?"

"Yeah, I'm excited for all the jumpy sports. Ready to go get Ned?"

"Yep, let's go."

We got to Ned's place about 10 minutes later.

"Hey guys, ready to go?" Ned asks as he opens the door.

"Yes now let's go before the bus leaves." I hurried everyone up. If there's one thing I hate more than anything else, it's being late. I get everyone going again and since MJ lives literally next door to Midtown, we just meet her on the oval out the front of the school.

We take a quick snack stop at this little corner sandwich store called Delmar's. Peter and I always get our usual; number five with pickles squished down real flat. Liv gets number three and Ned gets number six. MJ's not a big fan of sandwiches so we just got her a packet of Jubes. When we got to the oval, we saw MJ sitting on the grass reading her favourite book, Of Human Bondage.

"Hey MJ," Ned said.

"Hey losers." She replied back. Now to others who don't know MJ like we do might have thought that this was rude, but we know this is her way of saying 'Hey, how are you?' She has he own little language that the four of us seem to understand.

"How are you going?" Peter asked so very politely.

"Yeah, I'm fine, what about you guys, ready for today?"

"I'm pumped!" Something else that you should know about me, I am very, very competitive.

"Yeah," Everyone else said in unison, though I swear Liv said it quieter than the others.

"Well, what are we waiting for? The bus is gonna leave soon, we gotta hurry up if we don't want to be late." Peter also enjoys sports, and he's very good at running.

"Ok, let's go then." Finished off Ned as we walked towards the learning commons.
