Meredith feels a foot that touches her leg gently, a tender touch on her arm, a loving kiss on her cheek. "Good morning!" Andrew looks at her with shiny eyes. Meredith opens her eyes and smiles. "Good morning!" She replies and looks at him sleepily. She puts her arm around him and kisses him. The sun has already risen and the first rays of sun light up the room. The branches of the tree by the window sway gently in the morning breeze. Everything seems peaceful and calm. "Mummy!" Suddenly there is a loud scream from the hallway. "Mummy! I have to go to the toilet and there is someone inside! "It is Zola, who is fidgeting in front of the bedroom door and desperately trying to hold on to himself. Meredith rolls her eyes and gets up. "I'm coming!" She calls back. "Everyday morning stress begins!" Andrew smiles and also starts to get up. Meredith puts on her dressing gown and opens the door. Zola stands in front of the bathroom door and stares expectantly at her.

Suddenly the door opens and George comes out. He grins cheekily and goes without saying a word past the two of them down the stairs. The two look after him with questioning looks, then Zola scurries into the bathroom. This time he was faster. Meredith follows George into the kitchen. "What was that just?" She wants to know. "I hurried!" He replies and grins again. "Please be nice and put a coffee down. I'll get the kids ready! "She asks him. George nods and takes the coffee pot to fill up with water. Now Maggie comes in very sleepy. "Is there coffee?" She asks. "Right now!" Replies George kindly. Meredith walks past her sister and stops briefly with her. "Be nice!" She whispers to her and disappears up the stairs again. Maggie grins furtively at her and turns back to George. But the two have nothing to say. Everyone silently pursues their actions. With the thoughts, always with his brothers, George prepares the coffee. How will they react to him? How will he react himself? The tension in him grows from minute to minute. Maggie has now sat down at the table and is still waiting for her cup of coffee.

No one says a word further. Maggie looks at him, she doesn't know what to talk to him about. Finally, she tries small talk. "So you and Meredith have known each other for a long time?" Now she asks to break the uncomfortable silence. "How?" George's thoughts are far away. "Meredith! You've known her for a long time? "Repeats Maggie. "Oh, yes!" George hesitantly replies. And devotes himself to the cups that are on the shelf above him. "Did you live here together?" Asks her further. "Yes, Izzie also lived here!" He answers and still seems deep in thought. "Izzie?" Asks her. "She, Meredith and I started together!" He explains listlessly. Maggie quickly realizes that other things are going through his mind. Finally Meredith comes back. "Are you all right?" Meredith looks at her sister. "We are talking!" Replies this, with a slightly sarcastic undertone. The coffee is ready after a few minutes.

While the women are enjoying the coffee, George prefers to stick to his cup of milk, which he uses to retreat to the living room in silence. The children storm down the stairs into the kitchen and the mood is better. The children's laughter dispels the bad mood and finally everyone sits together at the table and has breakfast. Only George is sitting alone in the living room, thoughtful and drawn in. "Today Aunt Maggie will take you to school!" Meredith explains to her children. "Oh, does she do that?" Maggie asks with an eyebrow raised. "Do it!" Meredith replies insistently. Maggie has nothing to say about that. The children seem to be of little interest who brings them to school. They continue to eat their cereal and chocolate flakes. "Who actually buys this crap all the time?" Asks Meredith as she clears the packaging of the individual breakfast cereals. "Well you!" Maggie replies and grins. Andrew now enters the kitchen a little late. He also hastily takes a cup. "No more time. You need to get something on the go! We have to go! "Says Meredith and takes the empty cup from his hand. "Not serious?" He asks incredulously and is a little stunned that she just takes the cup from him. "You know, do not you. We wanted to go to you and get things for George! "Meredith reminds him. "Does this really have to be now? I have to go to the hospital! And I'm running late anyway! "He replies stressed and looks at the watch on his wrist. "Yes, it has to be now!" She replies vigorously. "Or you give me the keys and we drive without you!" "Yes, exactly!" He replies sarcastically.
