While Izzie and Meredith sit outside and enjoy the peace, George and Elizabeth are now alone in the house. Embarrassing silence surrounds them, and both consider what they could say to end this situation. George looks nervously into the room and scratches his neck in embarrassment. Elizabeth looks up at the ceiling and then back at him and takes a deep breath. "Quiet here." She finally says. "Yep!" He replies quickly. For the first time, they are all alone. Julian sleeps in his room and Izzie and Meredith seem to stay outside longer. "So you grew up here?" George starts the conversation. Elizabeth nods. "Yes, I live two houses away! I've tried it in the city too. But I never felt comfortable there! I'm just a country kid! "She replies and smiles. "I understand that. I like the city, but I wouldn't have anything against a cottage in the country either! "He replies. "Should we check on the two?" Asks Elizabeth and gets up. She goes to the patio door and opens it. Then she looks at Meredith and Izzie, who have since laid down on the couches and are still staring.
George looks after Elizabeth and finally gets up from the couch. "Well you two, are you all right?" Asks Elizabeth. But neither of them reacts. Elizabeth wonders and shrugs. Then she takes a few steps and stands next to Izzie. She follows her gaze into the stars and then looks back at her. Now George comes too. "I have the feeling the two are just deeply relaxed! There's nothing to be done! "Laughs Elizabeth. "Shall we go for a walk around the garden?" She asks, looking at George with wide eyes. The light that penetrates through the windows illuminates her face and makes her eyes sparkle. Her golden blonde hair shines and the gentle wind gently lifts a strand of her long hair. George nods and looks deep into her eyes. He feels like a teenager who is about to make his first big love and can't utter a word. It is a mystery to him why he has such feelings. He's already grown up and has been through a lot. One would like to believe that such feelings are a thing of the past. After all, he's no longer a naive teenager.
But when he looks at her, in her clear bright eyes, or even just around her, it starts again! That strange tingling in his stomach. That insecure feeling in the legs and this racing heart. Too ridiculous. He shakes his head. "What?" Asks Elizabeth. As if she had caught him, he looks at her in alarm. "Nothing! Do we want to? "He asks and shows her the way with his hand. Elizabeth smiles and leads the way. She enters the large meadow in front of them, on which there are several fruit trees. Slowly they stroll along the garden and disappear in the dark of the night. After a few steps you will pass a large old pasture. The light wind gently lifts the long tendrils of the willow. They protrude down to the floor and form a wall of thick leaves and thin branches. Elizabeth reaches between the long thin branches and pushes them aside as if they were a curtain. She slips in between and looks around for George, who is behind her and follows her. Elizabeth sits down at the broad high trunk and continues to look at George, who is now standing in front of her. "Sit down! The ants are already sleeping and I'm not going to bite! "She says. George follows her request and sits next to her.
They sit there for a few minutes and look up into the tangled branches above them. George quarrels with him. Should he touch her hand? Should he look into her eyes again to get lost in it? Should he dare to approach her until he ...? He stops his thoughts. Elizabeth slides down a bit and lies down in the soft green meadow under the pasture. The stars sparkle between the branches and she looks up, lost in thought. George looks at her and leans back against the trunk of the old willow tree. "As a child, I often sneaked into the garden at night and just lay in the meadow!" She begins to tell dreamily. "Then I always imagined what it would be like to be a bird. I always wanted to fly very high! So far until I can touch the many stars. "Her eyes sparkle and her long hair covers a piece of the meadow around her head. George sits quietly and just looks at her. He looks up at the stars and then back at her face. Your eyes are still right on the sky. "I've always tried to count them. But I never got very far! "She continues to tell and grins. Now George slides down a bit and lies down in the meadow next to Elizabeth. "It's strange. But they always comforted me somehow when I wasn't feeling well! "She tells. "I looked up and imagined I was up there, weightless and free as the wind!" She turns her head to the side and looks at him. Only now does she notice that he is lying next to her and is now looking up at the stars. When he feels her eyes, he lays his head aside and looks deep into her eyes again. Elizabeth lights him up. Your heart is pounding. So strong that she can even feel it in her throat. Her breath is getting faster and her pulse is racing. She is completely lost in his big green eyes that are looking at you. It is as if she can see her beloved stars in his eyes. "I always tried to see her in the city!" Tell her in a low voice. "But it was always too bright! I was looking for the stars! " "And?" He asked softly and in a soft voice. "And I found there again!" She answers and looks him in the eyes. He carefully rolls onto his side and supports himself on the ground with his forearm. He slowly moves his arm to her. Your eyes never let go. Space and time are no longer important and everything around them stands still. Carefully, almost hesitantly, he puts his arm around her and slips closer to her.
