Agent 4's pov

Oh no. Oh heck no. This must be a nightmare. So that's where all the missing inklings and octolings went. The rumours were real. And there I was, standing in front of an army of salmonids. Inklings. And octolings. So that's why Mr. Grizz had another nickname for this.

Infected Ink. He said it with so much humor though, 

Why is it always me? Standing in front of me is some of my teammates. I'm the only one left standing with a mind of their own. Yet I'm just standing here, not moving, not doing anything to save myself or the infected.

I closed my eyes, waiting for my doom as they inched closer and closer towards me.

They were so close. I didn't even need to open my eyes to know that.

?!!

 All I could remember seeing was a hooded, black figure.

And a burst of blue ink, almost certainly splatting all the salmonids. Then darkness.

I woke up with somebody shaking me. It turned out to be Callie. When she saw me awake, she burst into tears. "W-w-what were y-you th-thinking?! You were so lucky that somebody got you out of that mess!"My shirt was already wet. Even Marie, normally the calmer and more organised one, hiding most of her emotions, looked on the verge of tears. "I'm curious though... Who exactly got me out of hat mess?"  This question seemed to startle Callie and Marie. "Y-you're the only one who saw him or her, so you should ask yourself?" 

"I saw him alright, but they were wearing a hood and cloak." 

This seemed to startle Callie and Marie even more. "Now mind telling me, who do you suspect it is? This Agent 7 you keep on nattering on about?"

"H-how did you know...?" 

"I overheard you."

At first, they both looked astonished.Then, Marie rolls her eyes at me.

"Why do you have to be the sneakiest Agent of The Squidbeak Splatoon?"

"Deal with it. It's life."

"Fine. I'll tell you what happened to him. As long as you promise to tell nobody about it."

"Deal."
