Fushiguro has been in the infirmary since yesterday. His wounds were pretty bad, thankfully he'd be okay in the end. Me, Nobara, Maki-san, Inumaki-senpai, and Panda all ate dinner with Fushiguro in his room last night. We wanted to lighten the mood considering Mai and Todo ruined the day for everyone. It was actually very enjoyable. This was the first time the second years and first years ate together. We promised to do it more often after that.

It was now 8:30 AM, and I was on my way to visit Fushiguro. I brought him breakfast, I was almost positive the food they'd give him here wouldn't taste as good. I reached his room number and knocked on the wooden door.

"You can come in!" A sleepy voice answered back.

I pushed the door open with my side since my hands were occupied. I was able to open the door slowly, leaning against it as I opened it wider, so I could actually enter the room.

"Morning, Fushiguro-chan! I brought you breakfast since I made extra." I smiled, walking towards his bed with the tray in my hand. He sat himself up in the bed using his elbows, groaning in pain occasionally. His arms were sensitive from the bruises they'd obtained.

He ruffled his hair, allowing his eyes to adjust to the light as I opened the curtains.

"Isn't it a bit early for you to be here? What is it, 7:30?" He questioned.

"Nope, 8:30. Stop complaining, I brought you steamed rice with natto, along with some miso soup." I rolled my eyes, setting the tray on his lap.

"Kugisaki is coming as well, around 9:45 though," I said, sitting myself down in the chair next to his bed.

"You don't have to visit me, I'll be out by tomorrow." He uttered, grabbing the chopsticks.

"Geez, is it THAT bad for me to check up on you?" I said defensively.

What an ungrateful dickhead.

"...I guess not," he admitted.

I stared at him with my arms crossed, waiting for him to thank me for bringing him breakfast when I didn't have to.

...

"Sorry," He said, placing his chopsticks down.

"Thank you." He half-smiled.

"Hmph, the things I do for you and Kugisaki." I sighed, leaning back in the chair, "I get no recognition around here!"

He started to eat, a small smile appearing on his face as he shook his head playfully.

"So, how are you feeling," I asked,  placing my chin in my palm, "any better?"

"Yeah, it doesn't hurt as much anymore." He replied after swallowing some rice.

I nodded my head, looking down at his bandaged hand, the one he wasn't using to eat.

There was now a proper gauze on it, instead of the piece of my clothing I previously used to wrap his palm. I assumed it would've been thrown out by now, but to my surprise, it laid on the nightstand beside his bed.

"...what about you?" he added, "did you get any sleep at all last night?"

I tilted my head to the side in confusion before he pointed to under my eyes. Sometimes I forget I have prominent eye bags, I've gotten so used to them over time, I'm surprised this is the first he's mentioned it.

"Oh, don't worry about it, I'm fine." I said reassuringly.

I could tell he didn't believe me, but he chose not to pry more.
