—(First-person POV)—People take my confidence as a virtue. Being a woman in my clan, or a woman in general, meant you were constantly taken for granted. We'd be looked down upon, not seen as equal
--rather inferior to men.
When a woman shows confidence, --is aware of their beauty and power, it's unattractive. But when a man is confident, cocky even, it's admirable, attractive, hot, and seen as a pro rather then a con.
I live to prove the people who think that way wrong.
To prove my clan wrong.
...
I can be much more than a silly girl, father.--No, I am more.
I'm a woman. And maybe one day, when I achieve what you could never, you'll see that.

~Present time~ (2nd person POV)Sweat dripping down the creases on your forehead, you sighed, yet again, losing to the cocky white-haired man who hovered over you, pinning you down to ensure his victory. He was the type of guy you despised, but still, there was something about him, his eyes perhaps, that made you tolerate him. Besides, you figured you'd have to get used to this, after all, you would be spending most days with him.
A proud smile appeared on his face. Eyes closed, lips curved.
"You cocky bastard...get rid of that smirk on your face, it makes me feel sick," you said, annoyed by his not so discreet gloating.
Lifting himself off of you, pulling out his phone, he smiled even wider. "Better luck next time, Y/N." Gojo chuckled, snapping a photo of you in your state. Messy hair, wrinkled clothes, and the best of all, the very present scowl on your face. His eyes widening, focusing on his phone screen, he grinds his teeth together, holding back a laugh. He faces his phone to you, displaying the photo for you to see. As much as you wish you could whack the phone out of his hand, his infinity wouldn't let you. Arms crossed, eyebrows furrowing, you stand up from your position at last. Huffing under your breath, you walk past him. Noticing his guard is down, as he's laughing hysterically at your reaction, you stop in your tracks behind him, and do the first best thing you could think of. You swing your leg into a side kick, knocking him over to the ground."I win." You gloat, giving a proud smile.
Walking away, you still hear Gojo's laughter.
Once you were completely out of the room, his laughter faded. He was still smiling, you didn't know he purposely allowed you to do that. He liked seeing you confident and proud, he loved seeing his students grow stronger, seeing them succeed. But he'd never admit that, after all, he was still a prideful man, showing affection wasn't his thing. Letting Y/N stay with him was a stretch, but he knew he had to do it, he needed her at his school. She had some real potential. Shame the L/N clan never saw that.

(First-person POV)
My hands cupping the sink water, I splash my face with the cold liquid. Shutting off the faucet, I lift my head to look at myself in the mirror. Of course, I wasn't expecting to beat Gojo. After all, he is the most powerful sorcerer. But each and every time I lost, it enraged me. I wanted to succeed. No— I needed to. I needed to prove them all wrong. Even though I didn't really win the spar... being able to knock down Gojo did raise my ego. Quite a bit...I smiled at my reflection. Tommorrow is the day I've been waiting for. The day I finally get to prove myself, to show people what I can do, and who I am. I can just imagine the scowl on my clans' faces when they find out I'm attending Tokyo Jujutsu High as a first-year. They can't control me anymore, they can't bring me down. I've come a long way for this, no damn way i'm going to let their words cloud my mind. I chose to run away. And it was the best decision of my life.. because now, I'm not useless L/N anymore. I'm Y/N.
