Werewolves were nothing but myths.

Men have long forgotten the evil hiding in the Dark Forest for thousands of years. A gruesome evil in the form of half-man and half-wolf. These beasts were a curse, a result of a disease unleashed upon the world by a Great Seer who wished to poison men. The Seer wanted men to be seen for the horrid creatures they truly were; murderers, rapists, traitors.

The royal Wolfe clan was known to ward off these beasts. It was them who fought and defeated the monsters. It all began in the Dark Forest but the Wolfes stood strong and made sure the creatures never passed their lands. Even since then, they were branded the protectors of mankind, bound to protect the earth from this very evil should it arise once again.

Now 1300 years later, those monsters were only myths. A long-forgotten tale that was only used by maids and old ladies to scare little children. None knew the untold story. None knew how their ancestors lost their lives. Nobody knew the great battle that took place to put an end to what would be the destruction of men once and for all.

.....

The Wolfe Clan was the rightful family to the throne. King Roland IV Wolfe and Queen Shay ruled the country Cagrard, in its capital city, Cagred. Cagred was the home of the Wolfe and Rye clan. The Ryes were Stewards of the City, their loyalty forever to the crown and its King.

Together, the King and Queen had 3 children, High Lord Ronan, Lord Reagan, and Lady Rhea. King Robert was the eldest of his siblings. His younger brother, was Sir Roger.

Sir Roger was the King's Admiral. He led the King's toughest army; the Sworn Knights. The Sworn Knights had their utmost loyalty to the crown. To prove it, they were sworn to never marry or father any children. Their only duty was to protect the King and his family.

Lord Roger lost his wife years ago, leaving him with his only child, Meela Wolfe. Meela was the first lady to born in the Wolfe clan after centuries. Upon her Lady Faye's death, the lord abandoned her, blaming her for her mother's demise.

It was King Roland who raised the 9-year-old as his own. He truly cared for her as did the rest of the Wolfes. Meela was a brilliant, hot-tempered child who had a knack for fighting. When the King discovered this, he sent her to the Isle of Warriors; home of assassins and killers, masters of all skills. She learned how to map, how to hunt, how to kill, and how to survive the wilderness. She learned warfare, archery, martial arts. She learned everything a lady shouldn't, but what a fighter should.

And after a decade, Meela decided her training was adequate. She knew that it was time for her return to Cagred, the continent of Kings. She was unaware of the horrors that would befall her and her loved ones.

This is no tale of happy endings, this is a tale of sufferings, pain, and betrayal.

This is the story of Lady Wolfe.
