The untold excerpt,

'What is going on!? She has been there for 2 whole days!' Sir Roger barked at the midwife.

'We are trying our best, milord. Lady Faye is too tired. Too sick. We must prepare for the worst!'

The old nurse's words brought no comfort.

'Ignore her brother, Faye is strong. She will outlive us all,' King Roland was quick to comfort his brother. Sir Roger only nods, praying to all the gods he knew. Hoping, wishing, praying that his wife makes it out alive.

She needs to survive. He was nothing without her. He could not imagine a life of solitude. There was no reason to live if his beloved wife wasn't there.

He was young, only thirty and two when his young wife was pregnant. It was the best news one could muster during their first year of marriage. Their child was conceived with pure love and devotion. But seeing how she was tortured and screaming in agony, now, he promised himself to never sire another heir. One would suffice. He would never put his wife through this pain once again.

Alas as the night finally ended and sunrise had begun, it marked a new day. A fresh day. And as the morning came by, news had gathered all around the castle that the Lady Faye had given birth to a lovely girl. She was beautiful, with all ten fingers and ten toes.

Everyone was rejoiced. Because this child was indeed, a girl. For centuries, every first woman born in the Wolfe Clan was given the title of Lady Wolfe. She was the beacon of hope. She was destined to protect them all when evil rose. She was their saviour.

The last woman born was decades ago, not even King Roland nor his brother, Sir Roger could remember who. It was so long ago. This only meant that the birth of Sir Roger's child would mark the very first female born in their clan after a long time.

But there was a secret no one knew. Something had happened in Sir Roger and Lady Faye's chambers. Something so shocking it had to be kept hidden.

Upon discovering the happy news, Sir Roger was eager to be reunited with his wife. But before he could enter, another woman had entered the hallways,  quick to head into the chambers before any of the Wolfes did.

It was the violet-eyed witch Luna, and she did not bring good news today.

Before word had gotten out to the rest of the castle and to the world that Lady Faye had given birth to a girl, the witch Luna had hindered them all from telling the truth, the actual truth. They were all sworn to secrecy.

Only the Wolfes knew what was inside the chamber. To the world, Lady Faye had given birth to one healthy baby girl.

But the truth was that, in that chambers when the Wolfes entered, between Lady Faye's arms was not one little girl, but two. Lady Faye was bestowed with twins.

It should've been good news. For generations, no Wolfe could bear a female child and this time, there was two. Two infants, born from the same mother, but shared amazingly different features, their destinies too shall remain unaligned, different as their looks.

Everyone knew something was amiss, seeing how Luna herself had made a grand appearance rather than sending one of her minions for the matter. She wasn't here to congratulate them.

No, she was looking so oddly disturbed that the Wolfes knew they were about to receive devastating news.

The twins would be as different as night and day, as fire and water, as black and white and as we all fear, good and evil. One shall bring greatness, and the other shall bring the complete opposite.

Fate was wicked. It toyed with lives and the innocent twins were about to be thrusted into the world to play the most twisted game ever.

It was one thing to give birth to a girl who will eventually become their saviour. But the other, she will not share the same destiny as her sister's, she will grow to be malevolent, malicious, hateful, atrocious and the worse, she shall open the doors to the greatest hell on earth, the arrival of the cursed beasts.
