Chapter Four : First Impressions

" Don't wake me up , up , up , up , up , up . Don't wake me , don't wake me UUUUUPPPPPPPP ! " oh gosh leave it to Ricardo and JC to ruin a Chris Brown song .

I realized that I had slept the entire plane ride to California and that about 3 quarters of the passengers were already off .

I rubbed my eyes , stretched , got up , grabbed my side bag , and said helllloo to summer in California !

When we grabbed our luggage and waited for JC's friends to arrive , I went to grab some Starbucks . Yes I had quite an addiction no time to judge .

As I waited for my drink I began to think about what had just happened with Anthony back at the airport .

I hugged him like it was nothing , I sang to him just like before , I was beginning to think my feelings for him might have still been there.

" tall chocolate cookie crumble " I heard the worker scream over the fuss of the airport loudness .

As I reached for my drink another hand did too at the same time .

I looked up and saw this brown eyed , curly hair boy standing right beside me with his hand over mine .

" umm , excuse me but I think this is my drink ." He said with a voice so mesmerizing, I could have been dreaming .

" excuse me but I don't think your name is Leslie " I laughed as I turned the cup around and showed him the name on the cup .

" Well Leslie , I don't mean to crush your bubble but that says Lesaia "

I took a second look at the cup and noticed that they had spelled completely wrong !

" and who are you to be correcting ?"

" Sam , nice to meet you " he said as he ran his fingers thru his hair .

oh my gosh was I gonna love these California boys <3

"... I don't mean to come off to strong but I kinda lost my number and I was wondering if i could borrow yours "

Moment killed , nothing was more of a turn off than cheesy pick up lines that had been used more than google.

" How about you find another girl that the pick up line actually works on babe " I said as I walked away back to Jc and my brother .

" Took you long enough ! " Ricardo said when he finally saw me .

" Not even , that line was super long ! And they even spelled my name wro-" I stopped talking when I saw a new addition to the group .

He had the most perfect smile, brown eyes , short hair parted to the side , and he was tall .

"Hi I'm Kian " he laughed as he stuck out his hand to shake mine .

" Hey I'm Leslie "

" I know , JC and Ricardo always talk about you "

I think he noticed the fact that I was staring at him way to much , so I let go of his hand and turned to Ricardo .

" Can we go now or who are we waiting for ? " I asked .

" We're waiting for my bestfriend , his name is Sam. Me and him do vlogs the same way your brother and JC do . " Kian said soothingly ," hey there he is now "

Wait Sam ... Could it have been -

My thoughts were cut off by a tap on the shoulder , it was the guy from Starbucks.

" Hey there again " Sam said .

FML.

" So I take it you two have met ? " Ricardo asked stunned .

"I guess you can say that " he answered shyly .

"Well I hope you two get along , besides you're gonna live with him for a month " Jc said .

"WHAAT ! " we both screamed

"C'mon you guys I think we should go before we get tackled by fans I already see people staring " Kian muttered .

As I looked up I noticed he had put a fake mustache and a pair of shades on. I couldn't help but laugh at this kid.

When we got to the car Ricardo and Kian started loading the luggage into the car and Sam , JC , and I hopped into the backseat .

" So are you gonna go to Vidicon ? "

Sam asked JC .

I slid my headphones in and closed my eyes. I was listening to Be The One by Cody Simpson when I realized that Sam was staring straight at me.

"Can I help you with something ? " I asked ignorantly.

" No it's nothing , it's just that you look a lot like my next girlfriend " he winked. Why did he have to be such an idiot ?

I looked at JC and he just seemed to be enjoying my entire awkwardness. I slid my headphones on again and closed my eyes.

I felt the car start moving and looked up to see Kian driving and Ricardo I'm the passenger seat. About 2 hours later, Sam removed my left headphone ." Am I disturbing you ? Or are you gonna tell me another one of your stupid pickup lines again ? "

"homie chill, were home and unless you want to sleep in the car I suggest you get out " .

I opened the car door to a castle-like white house. It had pink flower dangling from the the sides of the door, and white daisies along the gate leading up to the driveway.

" Welcome to San Clemente, I hope you guys don't mind but me and Sam's father are going down to San Diego for a road trip so were leaving you the house and I don't expect to come back to a burned house alright Sam ?"

" Yes Ms.Pottorff " all the guys said.

I stayed quite looking down at the floor not knowing what to do.

"I see you have a young lady with you and may I say your are very beautiful." I smiled at her, she was really nice and didn't seem to mind a group of teenagers sleeping over at her house.

We walked in to Sam's house and we decided that I would take my own room, Ricardo and JC would bunk in another room , and Sam in his own. Kian lived right around the block so he didn't need a room in Sam's house.

I went into my room for the summer and settled all my things into it. Each room had it's own bathroom so there would be complete privacy.

I walked to into the living room where all the guys were at. There was 2 new guys one with long dirty blonde hair and another one with brown curly hair and a beanie.

" Hey there you are ! " Ricardo said as I walked in.

"Oh , this is Eric and Jarrad ", Kian introduced me to the guys.

I waved a simple 'hi' to each guy and went to go sit down next to my brother. I couldn't take my eyes off of Eric out of all 4 California boys. His eyes seemed to have a spark in them that made a girl get this little butterflies in her tummy.

"So are we gonna just sit here or you guys wanna go swimming ? " Sam finally said after a moment of awkward silence . We all agreed to go inside the pool since it was pretty hot and we wanted to have a little fun.

Kian ordered Pizza and Ricardo web to the corner store to buy chips .

Everything was in place for a good time.
