As I walked in all the lights were off so I guessed that everyone was still back at the boardwalk. I went inside my room and searched thru my bag for a toothbrush. *crunch crunch crunch* What the heck was that ? I opened my bag and reached in to see a letter wrapped around a box of sour patch .

The letter read, " Dear Leslie , if your reading this it means that I still love you and deep inside you know that for a fact. You have to believe that I really am sorry and I can't even look at myself in the mirror anymore without that mistake in the past but still with me. I wish you could understand one thing out of everything though , I love you with all my heart. Literally 99.99% of my heart and the last .01% is for the love I have for your flaws. I left you a couple of surprises inside the sour patch box, if you open it the first thing you will see is a Starbucks gift card, second is sour patch candy, and third .....a purity ring to show you that as long as you have that ring on your finger ill be with you as long as it takes because I wanna be next to you in every obstacle in your life and be able to say ' I began to date my wife in high school and my feelings for her have never changed' . I felt a tear rolling down my cheek and looked inside the box of candy to find exactly that , a Starbucks gift card , a bag of candy , and a eternity ring. I slipped on on ring and fell into tears for about 5 minutes, until my door was opened. I quickly hid everything under the pillow and buried my face on the sheets.

" I didn't think you'd be home so early " , It was Sam still standing near the door. I wiped away the tears and turned to face him. " Oh yea, it was staring to get dark and - " my sentence was cut off by him running up next to me and grabbing my face into his hands.

Sam: Your eyes are red !

I slid my face out of his hands and turned the other way.

Sam: ... So I guess you found out about Jade ?

Me: about who ?

Sam: Jade ? Eric's girlfriend ? Or is that not why your crying ?

Me: Eric has a girlfriend ! Why didn't you tell me before Sam !

Sam: How did I become the villain out of this whole thing ?

I grabbed a sweater and ran outside not knowing where to go. All I knew was that once again I had be played like before. What did I ever do to deserve any of this ? "Leslie ! " I heard Sam running after me.

I stopped running and turned back to Sam and do something I didn't think I would ever do , considering that if only knew him for a day and we didn't exactly start of on the right foot.

We kissed. Not a simple kiss like the one with Eric, but a kiss with magic sparks that felt a fairy tale. I pushed him away and turned around he carried me from behind and picked me up in the air. "Put me down Sam! " I yelled repeatedly.

Sam: No, your mine now !

Me: Actually I'm no ones ....

Sam: Well I'm gonna ask you out by the end of this summer, and that's a promise.

I started at him in astonishment not knowing whether to run away and leave him there or hug him. "Leslie, you really don't remember me do you?" he asked. Then everything began to hit me ... Sam...San Antonio...Flashbacks of our childhood.

Sam and I were bestfriends as little kids , unstoppable from anything that tried to separate us. Until the day he moved to California and left me alone in San Antonio. While he would go to California and make new friends and forget about me, never to let my name cross his mind...

"Leslie... there hasn't been a day since I left when I didn't think of you...as my bestfriend...as the girl I trusted...as the girl I liked ever since I met her."

I felt a tear roll down my cheek and hugged him. "I waited everyday for 4 years , for you to come back. Then I realized if never see you again, " I said. We stayed quite for about 5 minutes until Sam suggested some frozen yogurt. Once we got to Yogurtland he paid and we sat outside and began to talk about everything.

Me : So how long have Eric and his girlfriend gone out ?

Sam : a year or so ... it an off and on sorta thing. Funny thing is Jade and Jarred used to go out, then one day Jarred went to Eric's house to see his girlfriend and his bestfriend a little to close then they should have.

Me : wait, but they're still friends ?

Sam : Well it wasn't that fast. They hated eachother at first but then Jade cheated on Eric with some other guy and try went back to normal.

Me : Eric got back with her ?

Sam: ( laughing ) yea, he said it was a mistake, and that he was willing to be with her no matter what .

Me : so much for true love ...

Sam : what you don't believe in love ?

Me : I'm only 16 , I don't think I need " love" right no.

Sam gave me a look that made me feel like I said something wrong... I stayed quite looking into the distance . The stars were shiny so bright, I could see the constalations; Little Dipper , Big Dipper, ect.

Sam : We should get back now, I think you have something important to do tomorrow.

ugggh, I had to face Eric. Not only look at his beautiful face and tell him I knew about Jade, but once again let go of someone who said they'd never hurt me . I was getting tired of all of this... The fact that I could say " it's okay I've been thru this before" began to feel like bullshit to me. As we walked home it began to rain and of course we had to play in it.We ran up and down to streets, climbed a tree (Sam fell off) , jumped in mud, and for the best part kissed in the rain....

When we got to the house all the guys were sitting in the living room watching a movie, so I went to my room and took a shower. When u got out Sam was laying in my bed. " Can I help you ? "

"Haa , this is still my house you know" he laughed . I turned on my phone and played Excuse Me Miss by Chris Brown. I always liked Chris Brown's old song compared to the recent songs. Sam still laying on my bed , began to sing along. I started brushing my hair on the floors and an suddenly felt someone yanking the brush from my hand.

" I wanna brush your hair ! " Sam yelled.

I gave him the brush and changed the song. I started singing and noticed Sam stopped brushing my hair and was just staring at me.

"You haven't changed a bit... " he mumbled.

" what ? "I laughed.

"you still have your long beautiful hair, you still have the most gorgeous face ever, and most of all you still have an amazing voice ." I blushed when he said that.

"Umm, I'm really tired. Can I be left alone ? "

Sam nodded and give me a kiss on the cheek along with a " goodnight beautiful" and walked out of the room.

I didn't really feel like going to sleep but I had to much to think of ... Anthony ... Eric ... Sam. I didn't wanna hurt anyone but most importantly , I didn't wanna get hurt ... Again.
