Ari noticed the silence on the dinner table and decided to break it, "dad do you think it was the right decision to move here?" Marcus kept his spoon down and said, "I've already made this clear that we needed a break from that crowd so we moved in here and I expect you both to respect that. Am I clear?" "Yes, dad." answered both Maya and Ari in understanding. "I hope you both make good friends here. Get along with the children here, okay dear?" Emma said with the sweetest smile on her face, "sure mom don't worry we'll."

In the morning:

"We're leaving mom" Maya shouted from the doorway enough for their mother to hear, "Have a good day, honey. Make sure you get along with everyone." Emma replied from the kitchen.

It was the first day of the luciantos sisters in the Baskerville high school. It was not like they were cold and introverts instead they used to get along with the people very well. The sisters parted their ways after reaching school and went to their respective classes.

In the class:

Maya sat on the middle bench in the third row near a window just when a girl with braids and a pair of glasses approached her with a smile, it was the cutest smile Maya has ever seen.

"So, you must be the new transfer student, Maya Luciantos right?" Maya nodded in agreement just then she feels a tap on her shoulder and she turns to see a guy standing behind her, "That's my seat."

Maya looked around her table and suddenly realized what he meant and stood up, "Oh, sorry I didn't know." The guy looked at her and said, "You must be new here. It's okay." And soon he sat on his seat, "If you don't have something to say then you should stop staring and grab a seat at the back."

Maya didn't realize but she was staring at him for quite some time. She grabbed a seat at the back, "That's Joey, the quiet student of our class." The girl earlier spoke, "He is quite a mystery, doesn't talk much and even dozes off in class but is unexpectedly smart. Oh! Wait I didn't introduce myself, did I? I'm Lucy Parker." "Hi, Lucy", Maya replied.

Just then the teacher entered and started the class. Soon the school ended and Maya was on her way back with Ari, "So did you get along with your classmates?" Maya asked Ari, "yeah, pretty well....hey, sis what do you think must be the ribbon on the tree in the woods. Is it some other myth too?" Maya looked at Ari with a question mark, "what ribbon?" that's when Ari told her about the ribbon she saw last night.

"They say that a soul eater roams in those woods looking for a soul and that ribbon belongs to the girl who was taken by him."

Ari and Maya jerked up with the sudden entrance of Lucy.

"From when are you following us?" Maya asked still in that phase of shock. "From school...oh btw I wasn't following you, my house is also in this direction and about the woods, I advise you to stay away from it." Ari was still confused and meddled, "okay let me just jump in and ask who you are? And we don't believe in such stupid myths, it can even be a setup."

Lucy looked at Ari with a cold expression, "You're new here and don't have the knowledge so don't question this town's stories. And myself Lucy Parker." She stopped in front of a house probably hers, "I'll see you tomorrow then Maya." Maya then waved her back and continued on her path.

"Soul eaters" Maya mumbled. Ari looked at her and said, "Do you think that there is some kind of soul eater in the woods?" Maya went in deep thought for a sec, "I don't know....let's go."

Maya felt a strange feeling down her spine as if something creped her out. 'She didn't seem like she was joking but rather a warning.'
