Aliyah's POV:
I scramble out of bed.
Olivia curses as I run to my pine closet and pick out a grey hoodie and black jeans. Not my usual choice but the least time consuming one.
Rushing to my bathroom to change I remember how I had to put this stupid closet together- the wonders of IKEA only go so far. I remember Liv (Olivia) and I sprawled out in my bedroom, sweaty and exhausted after hours of trying to piece this thing together.
Ultimately, I got my roommate to do it for me. She did it within thirty minutes.
Stumbling out of the bathroom fully clothed, I kept glancing at Liv to reassure her we would be leaving soon. With appropriate aggression I manage to pull my wild hair into a somewhat distinguishable low bun.
Olivia is standing by the front door now, waiting for me to be somewhat ready. Running to my bedroom mirror I oggle at the thing staring back at me. Great. I look like a swamp creature.
I grab my Keys, purse and phone from my nightstand. Since my laptop was dead from last night's binge on K-dramas ( I regret nothing), I shoved a pathetically small notepad into my hoodie pockets.
"Shit, thanks for waking me up," I thanked olivia for her kindness ( I was still a tad salty from the disturbance of my beautiful dream though). She offered a small smile in return.
That's what I liked about Liv, her boundless kindness. Honestly, we have gotten to a point in our friendship where we no longer need words to communicate.
Shoving my tiny feet into some black Nike's, Liv opens the door and rushes out. I follow right behind her, locking it first.
"C'mon," is all she has to say before we are both running frantically down the corridor, down five dumb flights of stairs, running untill we make it outside the building. We have just over six minutes.
We keep running and I follow closely behind Olivia. Stray hairs flying everywhere, our footsteps pounding on the concrete, we keep running.
We keep running down the high-street as people pass judgemental looks to us ( I can't blame them though). Even as it starts to rain really heavily, we keep running. Even when Liv nearly runs into a cyclist, we keep running.
