Aliyah's POV:

It's been two weeks. Two damn weeks and my mind keeps running back to my... Encounter with Rhys. The things he was saying-

Rhys was like some wizzardy womanizer running around casting voodoo spells on innocent women.

I huff and turn on my side, pulling my duvet over my head.

Imagining him in a huge sparkly cloak soothed my anger a little, until it came crashing back again. His fucking arrogence- its like a spoiled child. It's so frustrating replaying his pleased, gloating eyes as I caved in. He may have won the battle, but not the war...

Frustrated, I decided to take a nap. Id rather be unconscious then consciously think about that arrogant ass.

Sleep comes quickly as suddenly I'm heading further into the city centre, shops become bigger, lined with brighter lights and polished glass. The sun has just set, casting shadows on the streets. I'm not complaining though, as light bounces off huge pristine glass windows.

In the middle of a rather busy street stood a large black building studded with bright yellow bulbs. Sparkling gold letters spelled out 'CASINO'.

After a long internalised debate I started towards the front door after all, I was never one to ignore sparkly things.

A bouncer stood outside, took one look at me and opened the door for me, gesturing me to enter. Despite being a little intimidated by his large bulky build, I smiled at him while entering.

Lights, music, conversation and booze. This place was pretty huge. It wasn't too packed, but had enough people to be making good profits off of. I made my way to the back, weaving my way through the countless machines and ongoing card games.

Once I got to the back of the vast room, I took a seat at a machine. The area was rather empty apart from two guys sat on either ends at their respective machines. The shorter guy seemed to be more interested in his beer than in the game itself whereas the other taller guy had his eyes glued onto the screen.

Taking my coat off I placed it on the back of my chair and put my bags down beside me. I took out my change and inserted some of it into the slot. The aim of this game was to match three. Crossing my fingers I pulled the lever.

A Cherry, butterfly and diamond appears on my screen. Damn.

Again.

I pulled in the lever.

Cherry, crown, dollar sign. One more try before my round was up. Butterfly, crown, crown.

Sighing, I got out more change.

"Fuck this!" The taller man huffed angrily, slaming his hand on the side of the macine. Peeling my eyes off my machine, I stared at the back profile of Mr angry man. His posture was near immaculate- with his sharp jawline and his hair having that deadly perfect parting it was just like...

No way.

No way would he ever come here. No way would a guy like him be seen dead here, throwing a fit at a machine no less. The thought was hilarious.

Letting out a small scoff in amusement i fed my curiosity and approached the man. Apparently my presence went undetected as Mr angry man pulled down on the lever, at the edge of his seat awaiting the outcome. Admittidly, I did peer around him anticipating his luck

Hands clasped under his jaw, he hung his head in defeat- diamond, butterfly, diamond. Just like a little kid throwing a fit he huffed again, this time slamming his hands on the side of the machine.

Slowly, Mr angry man turned around, revealing himself to be Rhys. The look on his face was priceless- red and flushed with embarrassment and anger- he furrowed his brows together which only gave him a pouty look.

Big bad scary Rhys getting defeated by a piece of metal- I burst into a fit of laughter.

"Wha-" rushed words began stumbling out of him. He was stuttering, Rhys was stuttering. Giggles turned to snorts as I bent over and clutched my belly in agony- I couldn't control the laughter that was rushing out of me.

After a few moments, I streightened myself to meet Rhys's cold eyes staring into mine. His expression was unreadable and suddenly, all previous humour was demolished- as if it never existed.
