BEFORE THE CLEARWATER'S

CHAPTER 25

SAVANNAH P.O.V

Isle Esme was my happy place. As much as I was missing Seth, I loved just laying on the beach and relaxing. Not worrying about anything that was happening at home. I talked to Seth every morning and every night. But I hadn't heard anything else from my parents.

I had sent the twins some gifts with an apology note but wasn't sure if they even got them. I knew that my parents wouldn't be the ones who reach out and tell me that they got them so I just had to assume that they got them and were enjoying them.

"So what did you do?" Esme asked as she made me breakfast. I explained to her everything that happened and how I was blamed for ruining their party. How dad had fired me. "I think they're just not used to having you around and then when you do come around they try to parent a child who isn't living in their house."

"They don't have to be so mean." I answered. I understood that having a young daughter move on, get engaged and planning a wedding is difficult. They were treating me like I was a criminal. It seemed like for a few months things would be great and then all of a sudden their attitudes toward me would change and we would be right back to fighting. I wondered if other moms and daughter's fought like we do. "Maybe I should just elope."

"No!" Alice shrieked. I wasn't totally sure about having a wedding. I didn't really want my family there. Not if they were going to treat me like that. "You can't elope."

"I don't want a wedding anymore." I was having a wedding in the first place to please our families.

"I think you would regret not having one." Esme said. I sighed. I wasn't sure what to do. Of course we had plenty of time to decide. I just wasn't so sure that I was going to be able to forgive my parents. I knew they would never apologize for what they said. They would expect me to apologize and I did to the twins.

She placed the plate of pancakes in front of me before getting me some orange juice. I ate quietly while they went off to get into their bathing suits. Even though they couldn't tan they still joined me when I was tanning or when I went in the water. Today we had decided to go to some of the waterfalls that was on the island. Once I was done eating, I cleaned my plate before heading off to the bedroom that I was staying in. I changed into a bikini, a pair of shorts and a tank top. I met them all out of the porch.

"Ready?" I asked holding my camera.

"Yup." Alice smiled. We started the hike through the trees. I took pictures of everything I possibly could. I had been here before but we mostly just stayed at the house. Now that I was older, they trusted me a little more. Rosalie was in front of me while Esme and Alice were behind me. I was a werewolf but I was able to go a little faster than a human. But we did take our time so I could admire the nature. Once we got to the waterfall, I climbed to the top and took pictures. Then, I facetimed Seth.

"Holy shit." He breathed looking at the view. "You are beautiful."

"Are you even looking at the nature?" I asked.

"Why would I when you're standing there?" I smiled looking at him.

"I miss you." I smiled. "So much."

"I miss you too. But I'm so glad you're having fun." I had been sending him pictures, mostly of just my legs getting tanned. Of course then Esme would spray me down with sunscreen but still, I was enjoying myself.

"I wish you were here." I said. Rosalie was suddenly at my side.

"Not thanks. Really don't wanna hear you having sex." She said taking her shirt off showing off her perfectly flat stomach.
