BEFORE THE CLEARWATER'S

CHAPTER 23

SAVANNAH P.O.V

It felt amazing to be walking across that stage, being handed a diploma and knowing that I was finally finished with high school. The entire pack came and I could hear their booming cheers as soon as my name was called.

As soon as I could, I nearly ran to my family. I jumped into Seths arms as he lifted me. I kissed him before he let me down so my parents could hug me.

"I'm so proud of you!" Mom smiled wrapping her arms around me. Dad was right behind her and I don't think I've ever seen him so happy. It was a nice change from a few months ago when he hated me.

Some of the pack and their families stayed at the school to take pictures but some of them left to set up the after party at my parents house. The Cullen's had come but had to stay hidden in the back before leaving and heading to my parents house.

We took tons of pictures before finally heading to my parents. There was tons of food and thank god because I hadn't eaten all day waiting to stuff my face tonight.

"We talked, and we will allow you to drink tonight." Dad commented to me as I grabbed a burger. "We know you already do but we figured you would be safe here." He answered handing me a shot and clinking his shot glass against mine before we both drank it. "Congrats." He smiled.

"Thanks." After the shot I took of sip of my soda before going to sit and eat my burger. Once everyone was officially here, music started playing from the outdoor speaker that dad bought just for my party. Uncle Paul of course insisted that we do a shot together. He poured them, Linked his arm around mine and we both took a shot.

I could see Seth's worried face as I drank more of my soda. I knew he wanted me to take it easy but this was the only time my parents were actually letting me drink so I was going to take it. After I ate some chips and dip, I grabbed a Loyal, a new drink made with lemonade and vodka, and headed over to where Seth was playing corn hole with his mom, Charlie, and mom. I wrapped my arms around him from behind.

"You okay?" He asked. I nodded kissing his back before moving away so he could play. I eventually went to mingle with the Cullen's who seemed to be sticking to themselves. Emmett of course was enjoying his time and tried to get me to chug a beer. When I refused, he decided to teach me how to shot gun a beer.

"How do you even know how to do this?" I asked as he made a hole in a can for me before handing it to me.

"Why do you act like I've never been to college." He smirked getting one for himself.

"You're gonna do one?" I asked.

"Yeah, why not?" He smiled standing in front of me.

"Because you'll have to throw it up later." I looked at him as he brought his lips to the can waiting for me. Jasper counted down for us before we both opened the tab and started to drink. Of course he finished a lot faster than I did and slammed his empty can down on the ground.

"Boom, bitches." He held his arms up in the air. I finished mine seconds after he slammed his on the ground and wiped my mouth.

"Are you kidding me, Emmett?" Dad asked coming over. "I told her she could drink. Not get blackout."

"Blackout or back out." I shouted running off. I could tell that he was thinking of chasing me and then decided against it. I decided to take a break from drinking and have some cake and ice cream. I opened a few peoples presents. The Cullen's each got me gifts. I could tell that they were each trying to compete with each other to see who could give me the best gift. Esme and Carlisle gave me a new Macbook. Rosalie got me a choker with a simple diamond on it. I right away put it on. Alice and Jasper got me new clothes. Edward gave me some journals. Even though I wasn't a writer I knew that sometimes writing down your feelings was a good thing.
