I wanted to start this off talking about Y/N or an OC. So, if you don't know:
Y/N = Your name
OC = Original CharacterSo basically, Y/N is just inserting your name into the story. Except when you read it looks like this:
Gally swung a right arm into my jaw. Suddenly, a bunch of memories start flowing back. My name! "Y/N!! My name is Y/N! I remember Gally!"
"Well Y/N, welcome to the Galde."
I don't like.It makes me feel ✨I C K Y✨
Instead, use an OC. Obviously only if you like. It just seems to flow better when you use an OC. Giving the OC a name and a reference photo is nice.
Example:
Daniel Campbell as Jessica
Age : 17Gally swung a right arm into my jaw. Suddenly, a bunch of memories start flowing back. My name! "Jessica!! My name is Jessica! I remember Gally!"
"Well Jessica, welcome to the Glade."
That felt so much better to write and read.Overall. I recommend an OC over using Y/N!
