Here's another pretty basic one for if you choose to do an original character. Their personality. It's what makes them so special
A big no from me personally, would be making them a type of "bad bitch". It's annoying asf and makes me want to slap them. But also don't make them so shy and reserved. Example traits: - Bold (telling people the honest truth, straight up) - Talented (Pretty good at maybe building or gardening. Don't make them like, useless) - Honest (basically bold but still) - Sense of humor - Kind/Caring (Cares about the Gladers, not just themselves)
Another thing that is very unrealistic: The reader/OC being besties with the Grievers..... Like uh- these things are DEADLY Not petable <3

Overall. Just make the character smart but humble. Kind but also honest when needed.
