Friends with Max and Harvey

Macey's POV
The whole country has gone into lockdown 3 times now but things I finally starting to look up, you can hug people again now.

Me and Max got through the lockdowns and are still going strong, the first lockdown was the hardest but we got thought it and now our relationship couldn't be better.

I have now finished school and Max has finished college so I am able to spend more time with him when he isn't working.

Today my Grandma and Grandad are coming to my house because we haven't seen them in over a year and I've asked Max to stay over for a few days while they are here so that he can meet them.

It's quite a hot day so everyone is outside waiting for my grandparents. Im wearing some cargo trousers and a crop top while Max was wearing some black shorts and a blue Palace T-shirt.

Me and Max were sat on one of the sofas in my garden leaning into each other just scrolling through our phones.
"Are you nervous? You keep shaking your leg" I asked Max
"Kinda, I really want them to like me" he said
"You've spoke to them loads on FaceTime, and they like you so far. How can you be nervous about this but not about performing in front of millions of people" I laugh, referring to xfactor.
"This is more important" he said looking into my eyes.
"Awe, they'll love you, I promise and if they insult you then that means they like you" I said laughing while hugging him
"Okay" he laughed hugging me back.
"We're having a bbq later, do you want to invite the rest of your family?" I ask him
"Yeah I'll text them" he said

Around 20 minutes later my grandparents got here.
"Hello everyone" my Grandma said
"Hey guys" my Grandad said.
"Hey!" I said getting up to hug them
"This is Max" I said gesturing towards him
"Hi Max" my Grandma said giving him a hug
"Hello Max, how are you?" My Grandad asked shaking his hand.
"I'm great thank you, how was your journey?" Max asked
"The roads weren't that busy" my Grandad Said taking a seat in the garden with my dad. While my Mum, Grandma and belle went inside.
"Does anyone want anything to drink?" I asked, everyone told me what they wanted and I told Max that I'd be back in a minute.

I got everyone their drinks and by the time I got back Max was deep in conversation with my Grandad so I gave everyone their drinks and left them to it and went inside to talk to my Grandma who was stood in the kitchen.
"I can't believe you're here! I haven't seen you in over a year!" I said giving her another hug.
"I know! And you've finished school now, you've got a great boyfriend, aw you're all grown up. It feels like only yesterday I was holding you when you were a baby" my Grandma said and I smiled at her. She asked about what I was doing at college and as we were in conversation Max walked through and wrapped is arm around my waist.
"Hey Max, are you okay?" My Grandma asked
"Yeah thanks, I just came in to get the food for the bbq" Max said while my mum went to get the food.
"Are the rest of your family coming over?" My mum asked Max
"Yeah they said they will be here in about half an hour" Max told my mum.

Half an hour later the Mills family had walked through the back gate and I got up from where I was sat to great them all, I hugged Tilly and Sara, said hi to Paul and Leo and before I went over to Harvey he ran over and picked me up and held me over the pool.
"HARVEY I SWEAR TO GOD! IF YOU DROP ME, I WILL KILL YOU!" I shouted while everyone else laughed. Max came over and pushed Harvey so he dropped me in the pool, I stood up from going under the water and gave both of the twins a glare.
"Don't look at me, I wasn't actually gonna drop you, blame your boyfriend" Harvey laughed putting his hands up in the air.
"I'm going to get changed" I laughed while shaking my head.

I was getting changed in my room when there was a knock on the door
"Hang on, I'm getting changed" I shouted
"It's me" I heard Max say on the other side of the door. I opened the door for him to let him in before closing it again.
"Thanks for dropping me in the pool" I laughed as I finished getting changed
"You're ever so welcome my darling" Max laughed while coming over to hug me and give me a kiss.
"I'll get you back, just you wait" I said and gave him one more kiss before leaving my room to go back downstairs.

"The drowned rat returns!" Harvey said while laughing
"Thanks Harv" I said laughing and rolling my eyes.

The rest of the evening was great, we all had a laugh, we had a fire, a few games of basketball, and overall it was a really good evening. All of the Mills, except Max, had gone home and we were outside with the rest of my family on the sofas talking until I started to feel my eyes get heavy and I must have fell asleep because I was woken by Max who was lightly shaking me and said
"Macey..let's go to bed" he said pulling me up of the sofa. We got into bed and cuddled and I said
"Max?"
"Yeah Macey?" He asked
"I love you so much" I said
"I love you too" he said hugging me tighter and kissing my head before we both went to sleep.
