Friends with Max and Harvey

Part 18

Macey's POV
It's 2:50pm which means I only have 25 minutes left of the school day and then I get to leave, thank god! I wasn't doing any work, I was just listening to the teacher talk. I felt my phone buzz in my pocket to I got it out under the table to see what the notification was and it was Max telling me he was in the top car park waiting for me. I smiled to myself and put my phone back in my pocket.

Once school had finished I walked out with my friends to the car park and saw Max's car, I said goodbye to my friends and went over to Max. I opened the car door and said
"Hey, thanks for taking me again" while I lent over and kissed him on the cheek.
"No problem, how was your day?" He asked as he turned the engine on.
"It was okay I guess, just the usual boring stuff. How was yours? I asked
"It was good, Dobby came over and we took some photos" he told me
"Can I see the pictures??" I asked with a little bit of excitement.
"Yeah they're on my phone, here" he said while passing me his phone.
"Thanks" I said. I turned on his phone to see his Home Screen and it was a picture of me when I was on FaceTime to him a while ago, I was smiling with my nose crunched up and I had my LED lights on.
"This girl on your Home Screen looks oddly familiar" I joked while laughing a little.
"I love that picture of you, it just makes me happy" Max smiled while laughing a little too. I unlocked his phone and looked at the pictures Dobby took.
"These pictures are really good! You look great... for a change" I said saying the last bit under my breath.
"Oi I heard that cheeky!" He said while shaking his head and laughing a little.
"I was only joking." I laughed as Max reached out to hold my hand.

We got to the doctors and walked in hand in hand and walked to the desk
"Hi my names Macey, I have an appointment" I said while smiling at the lady at the desk.
"Oh yes please take a seat and wait for your name to be called" she told me and returned the smile.

Me and Max sat in a comfortable silence while we waited then my name got called and we both went in to the doctors room.
"Hi Macey, so you've been fainting a lot recently is that correct?" The doctor said.
"Yeah and I don't know why it keeps happening" I told her
"Well we are gonna need to take some of your blood and do some test it won't take too long" the doctor said and she smiled at me.

The doctor took my blood and ran the tests while Max was sat in the corner of the room smiling at me reassuring me that it will be all okay. Once the tests were done the doctor said
"Okay so we found out why you keep fainting, you're not eating enough and your blood sugar levels are too low."
"I thought I ate enough" I kind of questioned
"Even if you are eating enough you're not eating enough sugar even if it is healthy sugar, you just need to eat more and eat food with sugar in it" the doctor told me. I thanked her and me and Max left to go home.

In the car on the way home Max said "I knew you weren't eating enough, I should have made you eat" while shaking his head.
"It's not you're fault and I thought I was I just wasn't eating if I wasn't hungry" I said while shrugging my shoulders.
"Me and Harvey both saw that in the past few months you've stopped eating as much as you did, we should have done something. I'm your boyfriend for fucks sake, I need to make sure you're safe and healthy" he said
"Hey! Stop! It's not your fault it's mine and I'm not dying I just wasn't eating enough sugar." I told him
Max then drove past the turning that led to our estate
"Where are we going?" I asked
"To get some sugar into you, how does buying loads of sweets from Tesco and then going back to watch a movie sound?" He asked
"Perfect" I smiled and laughed a little while leaning over to kiss him on the cheek.
