Friends with Max and Harvey

Part 11

Macey's POV
The movie finished two hours ago and since then Max has been helping me revise even though we were mostly just laughing at each other the whole time. It was now 11:30 and I had enough of revising so I closed my revision book and lent back so my head hit Max's pillow. "Are you tired?" Max asked me while tickling my stomach. I curled into a ball so he would stop and said "No, but if I do anymore revision my brain will explode" I laughed and sat back up so I was facing Max. "What do you wanna do now then?" He said to me "can we go on a walk?" I asked him. "Hm I don't know, I don't think your mum or my mum would be very happy that I let you go out at this time" he said "But you'll be with me, I bet no one will even notice and if they do we can just say that I needed some fresh air" I said. "I don't know Macey, you're still young."he told me while laughing a little "I'm not a baby Max, and if you really thought that I was you wouldn't let me do half the stuff we do" I argued but laughed while doing so. "Ugh fine, come on then" he sighed "Yay! Thank you, I love you!" I said while jumping into his arms to hug him "I love you too" he said while hugging me back and then guiding me out of the room.

I've said I love you to Max and Harvey before and they've said it back but when I say it to Harvey I only mean it in a best friend kinda way, but when I say it to Max I mean it like as if we are more. I think I might be starting to gain feeling for my best friend, i don't think that is a good thing though because 1 he doesn't like me like that, 2 our families are really close and it might become a bit weird, 3 if we got together and broke up and didn't talk anymore I don't know what id do without him.

We were walking around the town in a peaceful silence and I shivered a bit and Max noticed and said "I would give you my hoodie but I've got nothing on underneath" he laughed "It's okay, I'm not that cold" I laughed back and Max pulled me closer to him so his arm was around me and I was leaning into his side. "Are you okay? You've been very clingy lately, not that that's a bad thing I just wanna know why." I asked him "yeah I'm okay, I just love your hugs." He told me "Then why did you look jealous when I hugged Harvey not that long ago?" I queried "I don't know, can we please talk about this when we get back?" He asked and I nodded We were walking for a couple of minutes and I said "Remember when we used to go camping and I'd always share a tent with my sister and you'd always share with Tilly because our mums wouldn't let me, you and Harvey go in the same tent because we'd apparently be up all night" I laughed "yeah and we'd make Leo get up in the middle of the night and go in with Tilly so we could all go sleep in Harvey's tent" he laughed remembering. "I miss our camping trips, we haven't been on one in ages" i said "Why not tomorrow morning we ask our parents if we can go on one next weekend?" Max suggested "Omg yes, it's gonna be so much fun! They might actually let us sleep in the same tent this time" I laughed with Max joining in. "Are you ready to go home now munchkin?" He asked "hm munchkin, that's new" I laughed "fine then I won't give you a cute nickname" he huffed in a jokey way. "Noo, I want a cute nickname" i pouted "good" max laughed.

We were walking back and I said "do you think Harvey ever gets jealous because I'm clearly closer to you?" "I think he used to but then he realised that you're always gonna be his best friend other than me" he told me and I nodded and we carried on walking back in a comfortable silence.
