Video Admission: Ashton Irwin

*Static plays as the video clears*

The room is made of concrete walls, a glass window sits in the center of the right wall. There is a steel table in the center of the room, a young male is handcuffed to the table. His hazel eyes are fixed onto his hands, his curly hair is slightly matted and unruly. His broad shoulders are slumped, and his skin has a sickly color to it. His expression is serious but his hands are twitching ever so slightly. He has on a white shirt and black pants that cut off at his knees.

A man in a white coat walks into the room, he carries a clipboard and a pen in his pocket. He sits down at the table with a small nod at the patient. The patient says and does nothing.

The doctor looks straight into the camera.

"Hello. My name is Dr.Flannigan, I am the assigned specialist and counselor for the patient, *looks at his clipboard* Ashton Fletcher Irwin.

The patients eyes flick upwards towards the camera before looking down back at his hands.

"This patient has been diagnosed with Schizophrenia. This is his second stay at The Undefined Asylum. I am here to ask this patient some questions."

He turns back to the table and faces the patient. "Mr.Irwin."

The patient looks up expectantly, not saying anything.

"I need you to confirm that you are aware that you are being recorded and that this will go onto your record during your stay here."

The patient gives a small nod, still not speaking.

The doctor sighs impatiently, "I need you to voice your confirmation."

The patients face contorts in pain and gave a small whimper, "Please... You don't understand."

The doctor leans back into his chair, "Once again, I need you to voi-"

"YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND." The patients hands are in fists and the veins in his neck are protruding from his neck.

The doctor doesn't look surprised at his outburst, "What do I not understand?" His voice sounds tired.

The patients eyes flick around the room as he leans forward across the table, "They hear everything... And see everything." He whispers.

The doctor purses his lips tightly, "Who is they?" His voice is monotone and bored.

The patients eyes narrow in anger and his jaw tightens, "I wasn't talking to you." His voice is matter of fact. But his eyes seemed to be focused on something behind the doctor.

The doctor looks away from the patient, "This isn't going anywhere. I think w-"

The doctor cuts off as the patient murmurs something. The patients hands are straining against the handcuffs and his eyes are wide.

"What was that?" The doctor leans forward.

"I said, I won't let you take them from me." His voice has gotten deeper and his hands are shaking.

"I think it's time we stopped this." The doctor gets up and walks towards the camera.

"YOU DON'T FUCKING BELIEVE ME. THEY BELIEVE ME." His eyes are wide and a grin has pasted onto his face. "THEY TALK TO ME WHEN NO ONE DOES." He lets out a loud, barking laugh as the doctor continues to reach for the camera. The patient frowns as he is ignored, he groans in frustration and slams his head onto the table.
