"Gin Akutugawa?"

You wondered curiously, then snapped your fingers as if something clicked in your head, like switching like light switch on.

"The one that was beside the port mafia boss's desk, waiting for his turn to speak!"

"Ding ding ding! Correct!" Dazai mimicked a bell with a small hum and a cocky grin "However, one, she. Gin is a female. Two, she had probably finished a mission and wanted to give her report."

You paused, this was oddly strange, how'd he know so much about the port mafia member?

"How do you know so much about her?"

"Oh you know, years in the armed detective agency and being a detective and all, it's pretty easy. Especially when the port mafia always wants to chase us down."

You didn't know if he wanted to taunt you or not but you nonchalantly shrugged in response and leaned back on your chair. You could not give a damn right now, you were far too tired to deal with his mind games.

"I'm tired too, but I don't drop out of a conversation like that!" Dazai said dramatically, his eyelids fluttering shut as he drastically raised his hand up to his head, sighing in dismay.

"Oh please, all you did was speak into a microphone the entire time."

"Do you know how stressful it was to get that earpiece broken and everyone kept asking me what happened?" He exaggerated.

"Well, Sherlock, you could've simply responded to them."

"I know, but it was exhausting!" The male whined.

He was persistent on making you think his job was equally as tiring, even though he's only the guy in the chair.

You looked outside the window, the detective's whining muffled and tuned out by your brain as your attention was solely fixed on the sky. The blue of the sky always mesmerized you, weather it was day or night. The lovely white, fluffy clouds scattered around the sky randomly, yet it still looked undeniably gorgeous. Some rays of sunshine threading through the clouds, like some thread through the tiny hole in a needle, itching to stitch the clouds together to create a comfortable, soft blanket, which suddenly reminded you of your own blanket.

"(Y/N)!"

"Hm?"

"I can't believe it! You weren't listening!" The brunette fake sobbed into his hands.

"I thought you were finished."

Dazai only sighed and shook his head "Well it's getting late, do you want me to walk you home, Bella Donna?"

"I'm sure I'll be fine."

"You don't need the help of the great Dazai Osamu?"

Dazai let out a childish 'boo' after his words as he sighed "well I suppose I'll see you soon, bye!" He hummed cheerily, waking away soon after.

You sighed and leaned back on your chair, finally getting the peace of mind you needed. With Osamu Dazai gone and no longer buzzing in your ear, you could now space out as much as you'd like.
