It had been a year since they died. A year since both of them died. Eren was supposed to still be with me. Instead, he died two weeks after his wife. How could he leave me alone like this? These were the questions that Historia could not stop asking herself as the days went by. Her daily routine consisted of getting up, feeding Mina, going to work, coming home, feeding Mina, and going to sleep. Not only did Historia hate her life, she hated Mina. To her, she was like a school project. She just had to do it and it seemed like she only existed to annoy her. The fact that it was Eren and Annie's did not help. She could not help but be jealous of their relationship. She knew that was not fair but she couldn't help herself.

The day was finally here. She was making her journey back to the walls. This was a day she dreaded. She knew she would have to tell Mikasa that her beloved Eren had died. (She did not know about Eren assaulting Mikasa). She wore a cloak to conceal her appearance as to boy be stopped by the wall guards.  She would most likely be immediately identified by them as the former queen even though it had been almost 4 years since they had seen her.

As she approached the gate to wall Rose, she felt extremely nervous but she knew that on the surface she would need to look calm and ready like she was about to drop a bomb on a target.  She had a script that she had rehearsed but she kept on forgetting what she wrote down.  She began imagining how betrayed the people would feel by her.  She would come out and the whole crowd would go so loud.  Finally, she reached the gate and was asked for her credentials.  She opened her mouth but the words wouldn't come out.  Every time she tried, she choked on her words. Finally, she managed to just reach into her bag and show him her identification.

"Come on in." He said.

20 minutes later

Historia was just now approaching the headquarters.  As she made her way to the reception desk outside of the headquarters, a tall man with skinny shoulders and a screechy voice approached her.  "Excuse me, but I am looking for Mikasa Ackerman." Historia exclaimed.

Seeing the Wings of Freedom emblem on her back, the man told her where she was. "Sergeant Ackerman is currently at home." He then gave her the address which Historia quickly memorized before setting off, thanking him for his help.  As she made her way down the street, she watched for the addresses.  When she finally spotted the one she was looking for, she stopped, taking a look at the establishment.  It was an old wooden cottage with a narrow front porch coming out of the right side that lead to the front door.  It was painted sky blue, which Historia found strange considering Mikasa's personality.  As Historia knocked on the door, it was followed by the sound of footsteps inside the house, marching to the door.  When she opened it, Historia was shocked to be met with an extremely beautiful woman.  She was decently tall, was fit, but not too muscular that it was unattractive. She had a nice body and pale skin.  Her hair was long and raven black.  This was not any woman, Historia realized, this was Mikasa.

"H-Historia? What are you doing here?" Mikasa asked, visibly shocked.  Historia had completely forgotten her situation due to the fact that she was so busy taking in Mikasa's new appearance.  Then, as if nothing could have shocked her more, Historia dropped her eyes to Mikasa's legs to find something truly unbelievable.

A boy was hiding behind her. A boy with emerald green eyes.
