Dear Journal,
I broke Josh. According to David, who has affectively been watching Josh interact with his “friends”, they are attempting to help him “cope” with the loss of two friends and his girlfriend as well as with the depression that has wracked him.
He watches how he reacts alone as well. Josh has spent a lot of time sleeping and lying in bed since he arrived home three days ago. His sister visits him in his room often and he will play a game with her or he will read her a book. What I’ve noticed though is that he does not have that same spark in him that he had before all of this.
David said that he saw Josh talking to himself one evening, but did not hear what the “conversation” with himself was. I am angry with him for that, but I will get over it, as I must check this out on my own. I’m not sure I will have time as I have to be able to sneak my way into the school, figure out which stairwells are infiltrated with security cameras, and then follow Taylor to see what her school schedule is like.
I should have gotten ready for this sooner, but I was more preoccupied with my strange dreams involving sex with Josh. It was like when I was younger and would wake up from dreams about my male teachers. I wonder half the time if I am gay. I’ve had plenty of sex with women and I sure do like it, but I wonder if I would like sex with a man better. Even though Josh did not participate willingly, as it was his punishment, last month I did wonder what it would feel like if he was a willing and active participant.
Anyway, I will make sure that my plans for Nancy’s death pan out so I do not fall behind. I wonder how this death will affect Josh. Will he eventually fall victim to the unavoidable death in his very near future?
With Love,
Art
