Dear Journal,
I killed Josh’s parents on Monday. His sister survived thanks to his sneaky tactics. I had neglected to watch him and would have burned down Lucas’ house as well if I had know that he was going to bring Lilly there. It was not difficult to take a match and light one of the curtains on fire. Josh’s parents were dead asleep when I did.
To make sure their fire alarm wouldn’t go off in time for them to realize what was going on I replaced the batteries in the smoke detectors with dead ones. It was a very fun evening. I loved watching the house go up in flames.
Josh and Lilly’s faces were the best though. They showed up on the scene in their pajamas and half awake. Lilly was screaming and crying for her mommy and daddy to get out of the house and Josh was trying to hold back the sobs that came later in private.
My mission is done. I said I would not kill anyone who survived the ordeal, so I will not go after Lilly or Lucas. They will live to see tomorrow and many days after that.
This is my final entry for this journal. There are many pages left. More experiences I could write. But this is the end of one memory and the beginning of the next.
With Love,
Art
