ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
When I was in middle school I formed the idea of a new boy in town with a dark secret. This story started off in Maine instead of in Washington, where Josh was a werewolf and his past life was with a pack that had turned on him when he left Washington. As I grew older I found the fantasy aspect of this idea to be moot and started thinking of ways to make it a more realistic ideas.
As I started writing the sequel to The History of Art, With Love, Art, I found that Art didn’t have much of a past. Along with my uncle we came up with a past that Art was ultimately scarred from. I will not ruin it, as you will hear the Art’s biography in With Love, Art.
Due to the overwhelming background of the character and also of Josh’s stories to new girlfriend Amy in the sequel, I found that I had enough material to write a whole other story. So I started The History of Art and made it into a story I will never forget.
