January 1, 2010 - Friday

Dear Journal,

I have started a journal so I can relive this part of my life over and over again. I’m only eighteen, but my life is about to begin, for real. The plans are coming together and the boys are prepared. Well, most of them. Josh Howell is a fucking sissy. At sixteen he shouldn’t be so nervous about these activities. We’ve been engaging in them since he was eight years old, although our victims were always animals, not humans.

Paul is more than ready to murder his parents. He never liked them, although they seem like decent people. He’s twenty now and has been trying all these years to take the group from me. Ken and David know better. They do not question me and they do as I say or they know what will happen. Josh tried to disobey me once when he was thirteen; that never happened again. The scars on his chest will forever remind him of his disobedience to the group.

Ken is scared, very scared. I have him so terrified he fakes an illness to get out of club meetings. David covers for him and says that he actually is sick, even though we all know he lies. It pisses me off horribly to watch someone I've raised from the age of five to be a cold-hearted man, be so cowardly. What did I do wrong? He is not the man that I wanted. We hold our club meetings every Friday and today is Friday. The boys should be here within the hour, but I wished to start a journal before they arrived. I have very little time to write, so this will be a short entry.

Now back to Ken. He does not want to kill his beloved mother. She treats the boy well and he loves her right to death, but all of our parents must die. He will stand down or suffer the same torture Josh did three years ago. I made the others watch as I carved into his chest the word “traitor”. Paul was sexually aroused by the screaming and openly masturbated. He was later punished for his wrongdoing.

This time though, if Josh refuses to cooperate, more will die than just our parents. He will be the cause of the ruin of this town.

With Love,
