It was the day before Valentine's Day, and Bruce was very excited for the date he was going on with a girl he met online.

"So what do you have planned for your date?" Tony asked him as they did some science stuff in the lab.

"I'm taking her to a movie." Bruce replied, not looking away from his current task.

"Did you get the tickets yet?" Tony asked.

"Yep, but I sent them to her to hang onto. I have a tendency to misplace things." Bruce answered.

"I hope it goes well, I really like her." he sighed smiling.

Tony smiles too, he liked seeing his friend happy. He was usually so nervous and closed off, so it was nice to see him out himself out there.

"Well, I wish you the best of luck." Tony said playfully punching Bruce's shoulder.

The next day, Tony walks into the kitchen and saw Bruce with the saddest looking puppy-dog frown he's ever seen. He pouts as he devours a pint of ice cream, Hunka Hulk of Burning Fudge, to be exact.

"What's up, big green? Aren't you supposed to be getting ready for your date?" Tony asked.

"There is no date. She used me to make her boyfriend jealous...it worked and now she's taking him to the movie." Bruce mumbled sticking a large spoonful of ice cream into his mouth.

"The movie you paid for?" Tony asked him.

Bruce nods then continues to stuff his face. Tony frowns then leaves, heading to his room.

"How dare that b**ch use my science buddy like that!? And on Valentine's Day, no less!" Tony growled, pacing around his room.

The billionaire comes up with an impulsive idea and makes a last minute reservation at an extremely fancy and expensive restaurant. Then he puts on a suit and grabs an extra one for Bruce.

"Wipe that chocolate off your face and put this on." Tony told Bruce, handing him the suit.

"W-what for?" Bruce asked confused.

"What does it look like? I'm your valentine now and I'm gonna turn that frown upside down. Nobody should be treated the way you were treated on Valentine's Day." Tony replied, straightening his tie and running a comb through his hair.

"So, put on the suit and meet me out front." he ordered.

"Ummm....okay." Bruce said as Tony left the room.

Leaning against the limo, Tony waits for Bruce to come.

"Good lord, Tony, why are your pants so tight!" Bruce said walking towards Tony, tugging slightly on the crotch of the pants.

"Hey! Don't insult the guy taking you out to dinner." Tony joked.

"How was that an insult?" Bruce asked, scrunching his eyebrows together.

"Because the pants aren't tight when I wear them...so clearly, you trying to say you're bigger than me...if you know what I mean." Tony chuckled.

"I-I...that's not what I..." Bruce stammered, blushing.

"Ahh, relax, greenie, I'm messing with ya." Tony laughed, clapping a hand on Bruce's shoulder.

Tony opens the back door of the limo.

"After you, Dr. Banner." Tony said with a slight bow.

"Wow, such a gentleman." Bruce said in a teasing manner as he slid into the vehicle.

"Well....I am Tony Stark, aren't I?" Tony replied with a smirk, sitting next to Bruce, closing the limo door.

The limo takes them to the restaurant and Bruce gets a little nervous seeing how expensive the place looked.

"Tony...you didn't have to do any of this, you don't have to spend so much money on me. I would've been just fine with some company." Bruce said looking down at his lap.

"You're right, I didn't have to. But I wanted to, so here we are. Bruce...you're worth a lot more than you give yourself credit for." Tony said softly, placing a gentle touch to Bruce's knee.

Next, he grabs his hand and leads him into the restaurant, where they were immediately seated at their table. As the night went on, Bruce enjoyed the way Tony spoiled him and her realized that he was the better option to spend Valentine's Day with.

"Thanks for tonight, Tony." Bruce said as he and Tony got into the back of the limo.

"It was no problem." Tony replied.

Suddenly, Bruce grabs Tony's face and pulls him in for a kiss.

"Woah woah, w-what are you doing?" Tony asked pulling away slightly.

"Oh....this...this wasn't a real date, was it? This was just...you being a good friend." Bruce replied, his face falling.

"I-I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable just now." he sighed, scooting to the far end of the seat.

That sad puppy-dog frown returned, stabbing Tony straight in the heart. Yes, at first, this whole thing was just to make Bruce feel better about being stood up on Valentine's Day...but Tony ended up really liking spending time with Bruce in that romantic type setting. Tony didn't want to say anything cause he wasn't sure if Bruce would feel the same...so, that's why he was so surprised when Bruce kissed him. And now Bruce was sad because he thinks Tony doesn't share the same feelings he has for him.

"Bruce, hey, Bruce, look at me." Tony said scooting closer to the gamma scientist.

"What?" Bruce asked turning to face Tony.

Without saying a word, Tony firmly presses his lips to the other man's. Smiling, Bruce caresses the back of Tony's head, deepening the kiss. Then, Tony presses a button, putting up the privacy window so the driver couldn't see into the back seat. The two ended their lovely Valentine's Day date by making out in the back seat of a fancy limo.
