Chapter 13

    "I hated that so much." You whisper to your sister as you both begin to leave the dinning hall; she just laughs and shakes her head.

   "Well, you better get used to it."

   Oh hell no.

   She sighs and glances at Thor. "I think I'll be heading to bed. But don't worry, I'll be with you all day tomorrow to help you." You give a sigh of relief putting a hand over your heart.

    "Oh thank god!" She laughs. "Thank you I'll see you in the morning."

   She winks, "bright and early."

   You groan, "bright and early." You watch as she walks away. She brushes past Thor and he watches as she leaves. You turn the other way and see Frigga standing with Loki, she seems to be brushing something off of his shoulder and when he catches you looking he blushes slightly grabbing her hand, stopping her. She looks a little confused then she notices you and the corners of her mouth turn down.

   What's her problem?? Please don't tell me I've upset the literal queen of Asgard.

   Loki heads toward you, leaving his mother. "Y/n," he smirks slightly, "how was dinner?"

   You smile. "Lovely, thank you for asking." He can tell your lying and chuckles, he looks around quickly and leans in closer.

   "Shall we get out of here?" You turn a bright crimson as he smirks. "To take you to bed of course." You fake cough and take a tiny step back, he has the biggest grin on his lips and his eyes are gleaming with mischief.

   "I umm-" he reaches to grab your hand but is stopped by another grabbing his arm. You both look to see Frigga standing there, a sweet smile on her face as she grips Loki's arm. As she lets go she turns to you and an offended looking Loki takes a step back and you both straighten yourselves.

   "Actually, I was hoping to walk with y/n tonight." Your blush deepened, 'why did she have to hear that?!.'

   You cleared your throat and smiled. "I would be honored." You glance at Loki who was looking at his mother with the most child like look you had ever seen that said a clear 'no fair!' You almost laughed but held it in as Frigga nodded and put a hand on Loki's shoulder.

   "You'll see y/n in the morning then?" They both shared a silent conversation that you couldn't understand, then Loki turned to you.

   He grabbed your hand and gently pulled it to his face. "Indeed I will." He smirked and kissed your hand—his lips were cold—he winked and you smiled. Loki turned away and headed down the hall, he raised a hand not looking back, signaling to everyone that he was leaving. Thor had long been gone and you wondered if he was with your sister, and the Allfather apparently had more important things to deal with.

   "Shall we?" Her voice brought you back to reality and you nodded.

   You both talked as you walked down the seemingly endless hallway

   "Y/n...I want you to be careful. My son; he is a bit of a scoundrel."

   "Thor?? I-I didn't take him as-"

   "Oh no! You and Thor have barley spoken; I was talking about Loki."

   Does she know about everything that goes on around here?! "Oh...-oh my gosh! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to-"

   "It's quite alright. But about Loki, just please remember what you need to do and don't let him distract you."

   You hesitated. "My queen. Me and your son are not-"

   "Don't try and deny it. Even a blind man could see what is going on between you two;  for the sake of both of you I advise that you stop. Am I clear?"

   "Yes..."

   "If they were not brothers I wouldn't be so concerned, but...they have quite a history. (Quick FYI-this takes place after the events of Thor 1 but everything that happens after that in the movies obviously doesn't happen; as of now anyways) And I fear the worst, for you and my sons. I have to;" she winked at you, "because I'm a mother."

   You smiled but honestly you felt like storming off as if you were some delinquent teenager; why was she poking her nose in your business, and how dare she just assume things about you and him(even if they are true!) But on the other hand you could see where she was coming from. Like she said, she's a mother; it's only natural for her to want to protect her sons and you since your marrying into her family.

   "Thank you, I appreciate all of your advice."

   "Your very welcome my dear." With that you both arrived at your door. "And Goodnight."

   You nodded and turned the handle. "Goodnight, your majesty." Before you closed the door she looked back at you as she was walking away with a gleam in her eye, almost as if she was suspicious of you. You smiled and closed the door and after you heard the soft footfall of her feet fade away you let out a deep long sigh and flopped onto your bed.

   "What a prude." You didn't really mean it, you honestly liked Frigga a lot, but you hated that it had come to all this. You dare admit that you were catching feelings for the trickster god; but you think you were. But Frigga's words replayed in your head. He is a bit of a scoundrel.

   Is he really just humoring you? You want to tell yourself that if he was he probably would have slept with you already but...you didn't know. You hated being so blind when it came to men and romance. You groaned but quickly got up to change and get to bed, humming as you do—something you often did to relax yourself. You laid down in bed and drifted off to sleep; dreaming of worlds still unknown to you.

Loki's POV

'Damn it. How come she always knows what I'm up too!' I drag a hand down my face as I enter my room. 'I was this close to getting it tonight! Whatever...it's too soon anyways.' I stop, glancing around a bit. 'What am I saying? Why does that matter? What do I care if it's too soon???' I change my clothes and sit on my bed puzzled.

   'This stupid feeling is getting out of hand; it needs to go away...' I flop back, hands in my hair. 'But...then again, I don't really want it to go away.'

   "What?" I say aloud, digging the palms of my hands into my eyes. "This is madness. She's just a girl." I put my hands down.

   'She's not just a girl Loki, and you know it.'

   "Oh shut it." I lay my head on my pillow and start to drift off to sleep. "I'll think of something."
