Gerard swung his bedroom door open, revealing a room with drawings and posters covering the walls. I stood there in awe. "Ya like it?" I nodded, looking around. This place was incredible! "You're an amazing artist, Gerard," I said marveling at all his art. "Thanks," he replied bashfully, kicking off his combat boots.
We sat down and got to work on our pieces. I finished the sketch and started to color it with Gerard's colored pencils. I was never good at black and white drawings I was better at color. Gerard did the same. In no time we were done. "Let's go hang out with the guys now," Gerard stated. It's not like I had anything else to do so might as well stay and hang out a while longer. I got up and followed him downstairs to the kitchen. "Coffee?" he said grabbing himself a mug, I nodded "Yes!" Frank called from the living room. "I wasn't asking you dumbass!" Gerard scoffed, grudgingly grabbing Frank a mug too.
The coffee brewed and we sat on the couch with the guys in the living room. Gerard handed me and Frank our coffees. "This isn't to my standard." Frank said standing up and walking off to the kitchen. Gerard just shook his head slowly. Frank stepped back into the room and took a sip of his coffee. "Much better." "You put alcohol in it didn't you?" Ray asked. "Possibly" he sat back down on the couch.
"I've got an idea," Frank said with a smirk. "What?" we questioned. "How 'bout we play truth or dare?" he said wiggling his eyebrows. The rest of the guys seemed to agree. We sat in a circle on the floor Gerard next to me, Frank on my left, Ray next to Frank, and then Mikey. "Okay, who's starting?" Gerard asked. "Ray truth or dare?" Mikey said. "Dare" Mikey pondered for a moment. He then got up and walked upstairs. He came back with a box of crayons.
"Eat a fuckin' crayon!" Mikey said, extending the box out to him. "Pfft, that ain't too bad." Ray said cockily and grabbed a yellow crayon. He bit down and his face looked disgusted. Everyone burst out laughing. He spit the crayon on the carpet. "Aye, not on the carpet!" Gerard tsked. "What. the. fuck. That was disgusting." He said throwing a pillow off the couch at Mikey.
"Frank truth or dare?" Ray asked. "Truth" he said sipping his coffee. "How many times have you and Gerard kissed?" Frank choked on his coffee, while Gerard blushed. "Um... Uh, twice I think." I was shocked I thought Ray was just fucking around. "Actually both times were from truth or dare, I mean I love you Frankie as a best friend but not like that." Frank faked offense. "Your lips were gross and slimy anyway." he went back to his coffee.
"Y/n truth or dare?" I contemplated for a minute. "Dare?" I said more like a question. I think that was a mistake as soon as I saw Frank's face, he had a wicked smirk. "You shouldn't have picked dare with Frank." Mikey said. Oh no "Hey! Not take backs, she picked dare." I was scared of what he was going to say. "Straddle Gerard." I turned bright red. I probably looked as bright red as a stoplight. "FRANK!" Gerard punched him in the arm. "You don't have to, Y/n." Gerard said. "Fine, how about I ask a truth instead?" I thought that was only fair. "Okay," Frank nodded. "Why did you move here?" I struggled to answer because the reason wasn't an easy thing for me to talk about, especially with people I just met. I opted for the easiest response "Just... reasons." They didn't look quite satisfied, but I think they picked up that I didn't want to talk about it.
The game continued for a couple more rounds. We started to get bored of that so since it was around dinner time, we ordered pizza. Those pizzas didn't last very long, we were some hungry motherfuckers. "How about a movie?" Gerard suggested. We decided to watch a horror film. To my dismay, they chose 'IT'. I'm terrified of clowns so this movie is my nightmare.
We got comfortable and of course made popcorn to snack on. I ended up seated next to Gerard. The movie started and I was instantly scared by the opening scene. I didn't realize I was holding onto Gerard's arm tight. "You scared Sugar?" he said with a smirk. I nodded. "I don't like clowns. They're absolutely terrifying." I said pulling the blanket around me more. He chuckled and pulled me closer to him and putting his arm over my shoulder. It was quite comfortable.
The movie continued for two agonizing hours. It was around seven when it ended. "Well, I should probably get home," I said. Thankfully Gerard's house was on the same street as mine, so I wouldn't have to get somebody to go out of their way to drive me home. I gathered my things and headed to the front door. "See you tomorrow Sugar." He said as I opened it. "You too," I said with a wave.
I walked down the street to my house. Mom's car wasn't in the driveway. I had expected her to be home late, so it didn't come as a surprise. I unlocked the front door and went upstairs, kicking off my shoes and getting my pajamas from the dresser. I took off my jacket, I dug around in my pocket to get my phone out. I found a crumpled piece of paper as well. I looked at it and It had a number written on it with 'Gee' signed underneath it. I don't know how he slipped that in my pocket without me noticing. I put the number into my phone and texted a simple "Hey it's Y/n" so he had my number. I got a response quickly.
Gerard:I was wondering when you were gonna text me
(Y/n): Well I've been a bit busy all day with like school and hanging out with you so I haven't gotten the chance
Gerard: Was that sass I sense?
(Y/n): Maybe ;)
Gerard: You better watch yourself there's only one sass queen and that's me
(Y/n): Well then Sass Queen ttyl
Sass Queen: Sweet dreams Sugar
I turned on the shower and hopped in. I washed my hair and did the normal shower things. I turned off the shower and quickly wrapped a towel around, drying off. I got ready for bed. I was pretty tired after my first day at school, It was a long one. I slid underneath the black sheets and snuggled into them. I recollected the events of my day. A lot happened, I managed to catch the attention of the school's bad boy. It was the first time I've not been alone at school in a long time, which is good. Maybe this year will be better than expected? Probably not but one can hope.
