I rolled out of bed eager to start my day for a change. It was the day of my and Gerard's date. I rubbed my sleepy eyes, letting them adjust to the morning sunlight pouring into my room through the window. I went to find some clothes for the occasion. I ended up picking a black skirt with a Misfits shirt tucked in with a fancy-looking belt, accompanied by fishnets and my Demonias. I did some basic make-up and combed out my hair. I waltzed downstairs to get the usual coffee and wait for Gerard to show up. I heard a knock at the door and slipped on Gerard's jacket. I opened the door to reveal the raven-haired punk boy I know standing there casually. He was wearing a different jacket. He had eyeliner framing his pretty hazel eyes. I Stepped out onto of the doorway shutting the god damn door behind me satisfying Brendan Urie.

"Morning Sugar" He said locking eyes with me. "Are you excited for today?" he asked intertwining his fingers with mine and leading me off the front stoop and down the driveway to his car.

"I am, I've never been on a date or anything so this will be all new to me." I said opening the passenger door and hoping in.

"Well, there's a first time for everything." Gerard responded also getting into the car.

"Hiya Y/n" Mikey spoke up from the back and scared the living shit outta me. I didn't think he'd be there.

"Hey, Mikes I didn't expect you'd be there." I said back, my hand over my chest. Gerard started the car and we zoomed off to another day of school. There wasn't much chatting on the way there, but it wasn't an uncomfortable silence more like a tranquil silence. The radio played as I looked out the window. Soon enough, we arrived at hel- I mean school. We found Ray and Frank and went to talk before first period.

"Do you guys know where Gee is taking me later?" I asked because I'm very impatient.

"Actually we don't he never said anything about it. Sorry to burst your bubble but you're just gonna have to wait." Ray responded genuinely, patting my shoulder.

"Yeah I didn't trust them I thought they'd ruin the surprise. Especially this one." Gerard said elbowing Frank causing him to lose his balance and fall onto the tiled floor. "He just has the biggest mouth and can't keep secrets." He added. Frank stood up and glared at him. "Hey don't look at me like that! It's true and you know it." I chucked. Frank rolled his eyes and leaned against the locker.

"Why is school so long? Like we're here for about six hours a day and five days a week. That's too much school for my liking." I huffed.

"You're just gonna have to be patient Sugar." Gerard said as the bell rang. He's right. Just gonna have to be patient.

~Time skip to the end of the school day~

At last, the school day was over. The Ways and I went to their car. Frank and Ray followed so we could talk and hang out for a minute before we went our separate ways. We goofed around for a little while until we decided it was best to head out. "Hey Y/n," Frank whispered. "Don't forget to use protection." I could hear the smirk on his face. I went bright red even though I knew he was kidding. I never really gave any thought to the whole sex thing. It just hasn't ever been a concern of mine. "Ok bye sweetheart!" he said at a normal speaking volume. I waved goodbye to him and got into the car.

"Ok, we have to go and drop off Pokerface back there at home." Gee said putting the keys into the ignition and driving to his house. We arrived and Gerard parked the car. "Wait here" Gerard said as he and Mikey got out and went into the house. Gerard came back with a wooden picnic basket and gingham blanket in hand. I got out of the car and joined Gee. "C'mon let's go." He said throwing the blanket over his shoulder and taking my hand in his. He leads me down a dirt path behind his house and into the thicket. We strolled through the forest, weaving between trees, we would hear the occasional bird chirp, showing the woods were teeming with life. We walked until we reached a small clearing. There were fallen autumn leaves covering the forest floor. A little stream flowed near.

Gerard placed down the blanket and set the basket on. He sat down and patted the spot next to him. I sat in front of him. He opened the basket and pulled out some sandwiches, some soda cans, and lastly a red rose. He delicately held my face in his hand as he tucked the rose into my (h/c) hair. "That rose is almost as pretty as you." He smiled. That made my heart flutter and a blush to dust my cheeks. "So how's this for a first date?" He asked, opening his soda can.

"It's perfect Gee, thank you." I said doing the same.

"I used to come out here a lot to escape. To take my mind off things. This place just calms me down I thought you might like it." He said looking at the stream. "I still come out here but not as often. I come out here to get some alone time. You know I'm always with the guys and it can get kind of exhausting being around them all the time, so every once in a while I come out here to getaway. Even Mikey doesn't know about this place." He shared.

"I can see why you like it, It's very peaceful out here." he hummed in response. I moved closer to him. He looked over at me and put an arm around me, bringing me into his side. We sat there for a moment watching the water splash down the stream and listening to the tranquil sounds of the scenery around us. Gerard turned his attention back to me. His breathtaking hazel eyes that would make anybody, boys and girls, swoon gazed into mine. He held my face with his pointer finger and his thumb, as he slowly leaned in. He waited for a second for me to back out but I didn't. He gently pressed his lips to mine. A spark shot up my spine as our lips moved in sync. I had never done anything like this before but I think I was doing it right. He slipped his tongue into my mouth, he tasted like coffee and cigarettes and the taste was intoxicating. He pushed me onto the blanket bringing up the heat of the kiss. He ran his hands up and down my sides. We continued until we had to stop to catch our breath. He pecked my lips and pulled me into his lap, wrapping his arms around me.

"I could get used to doing that more." He muttered into my ear, tucking some of my hair behind it.

"Me too." I agreed, taking a sip of my drink. We ate our sandwiches, talked and laughed together. The sun started to set. We laid down and looked up observing the orange-red sky that clouds danced across. "It's so beautiful out here." I commented, pointing up at the sky above.

"I know, I should take you out here more."

"I'd love that very much." I said cuddling into his chest. A couple more minutes passed and Gee sat up. I didn't like that. I want to stay in this moment forever.

"Come on Sugar we better get back before it gets fully dark. Before the vampires and werewolves come out." He said with full seriousness. I giggled and got off the blanket so he could pack up. Once he put all our trash into the basket and folded the blanket up we started to walk back through the woods. Hand in hand we made our way to the front door of Gee's house. "I'll see you tomorrow Sugar." He said embracing me and planting a kiss on my cheek.

"Goodnight Gee." I said turning on my heel and starting down the driveway.

"Night Sugar!" I heard him call behind me. I couldn't help but smile to myself as I walked down the sidewalk. I felt ecstatic after today. Gerard just makes me feel something that I haven't felt in a long time. Maybe since I was a young child and wasn't aware of the world's atrocities yet, before my father became an alcoholic. I unlocked my front door and strolled into the kitchen. 7:26 pm the clock read. I whipped up some dinner and then sauntered upstairs to my room. I grabbed a flower vase my mom had and filled it with water and put the rose in it. I set that on my bedside table. The rest of the night passed by and I fell asleep.
