"I will kill Cyan." Janie muttered, facing a wall.
"You know... you don't have to face the wall. You can get out if you want to and just make sure you don't hear any sudden thumps or bangs." Edison suggested.
"I'd rather do that, but then I have to deal with Cyan outside. I'd rather stay in here." Edison shrugged.
"Suit yourself." Edison said as he placed one foot in the tub. At that instant..."AGH!!! MY HEAD!!!" Janie jolted up.
"Are you okay?" Janie asked, worried.
"I told you so!" Echoed Cyan's voice from the hallway. Both Janie and Edison glared at the door. Edison rubbed his head and smirked shyly.
"I'm okay." He said."I'm sorry to ask... but can you come in with me? Safety precautions. Maybe next time I'll become unconscious and drown." Janie looked at Edison like he was insane.
"N-" Janie started. Cyan slammed open the door.
"If he dies, his death is in your hands! Go in there. What the hell's he gonna do? The dude needs-" Cyan yelled.
"One more comment about my age or Viagra and I will put you in a chokehold!" Edison threatened.
"Try, Pipsqueak!" The tension between them couldn't be any stronger. Janie cleared her throat.
"Cyan, calm down. Leave the room. Watch some TV." Janie commanded.
"Fine." Cyan mumbled and closed the door. Janie sighed.
"You're so lucky you're a little kid." Janie said and Edison couldn't help but giggle.
O-o-O-o-O-o-O-o-O
Awkward can't explain this. Edison thought as Janie washed his hair. His cheeks exploded red. Awkward can't ever explain this.
"Y'know. For a five year old... your being very still..." Jamie said."and very quiet."
"Um... It's to not enhance awkwardness..." Edison stated but it sounded more like a question. Honestly, his body was involuntarily rigid. And for a reason he didn't want to admit.
I'd like to see any other teacher shrunken down to a little kid and given a bath by their own student. Edison thought sarcastically. Oh yeah... 'cause it's never happened!
"Is there a problem?" Janie asked.
"No problem." Edison replied through clenched teeth. Janie passed Edison a rag."What? You're done?"
"I'm not washing all of you. I'll stay here till you finish." Janie turned her head to the side and crossed her arms across her chest. Edison glanced at Janie.
Like the damage to my head hasn't already been set. Janie literally only washed the upper half of his body, stopping at his waist. Figures. A thought flashed through Edison's head. And it wasn't a good one. Edison suddenly started a coughing fit.
"Hey! Are you okay? Again?" Janie snapped. Her arms outstretched to his shoulders.
"I'm-" Edison made the mistake of turning around to face Janie."FINE!" His voice was high pitched. In a instant, his nose started bleeding and that was the end of that.
O-o-O-o-O-o-O-o-O
Cyan was listening to music when Janie stormed out with a towel wrapped around her body. She had Edison grasped by his hair which, surprisingly, didn't hurt him. Edison had one hand to his bloody nose.
"What'd you do, punch him?" Cyan asked.
"No. He just looked at me and his nose started bleeding." Janie explained. Cyan smirked.
"Ghost-Meister, so Janie has the time to put on a towel but not you?" Cyan inquired.
"She yanked me out of the tub and rushed me out of here like the bathroom was on fire." Edison said. Blood trickled down his hand. Janie put Edison down.
"You handle it. I'm getting dressed." Janie went into her room and closed the door. Edison looked at Cyan.
"Why do you live here again?" Edison asked.
"We're so close... it's almost like we're one person. We've been best friends forever." Cyan explained.
"Forever? Seems like it ended two minutes ago." Edison muttered. Cyan started laughing."What?"
"You're face is red. What happened?"
"Um... complications..." Edison dragged out.
"Did you stare at her?"
"Stare?! How ludicrous do you expect me to be? Staring at my own student! Are you crazy?" Edison exploded.
"Well Meister, no person's face could be that red unless they've accidentally seen someone-" Cyan started.
"Okay! Fine! It was accidental!" Edison admitted.
"I knew it! You like her."
"You should be ashamed to say that. I can't like her if I value my job."
"So... do you value your job?" Cyan asked
I'm guessing if my face is this red and my heart is racing this fast then I guess not. Edison thought bitterly.
"I'm guessing not." Cyan continued.
"Cyan, stop talking. Can I get something to sleep in. I guess you can drop me off early in the morning so I can get something to wear for tomorrow and I'll just drive to school." Edison suggested.
"Uh... Sorry to disappoint ya, Ed-ster, but you're three feet tall. One, unless you feel like dragging yourself in clothes meant for the six foot tall hundred year old you used to be-"
"THIRTY-FOUR!" Edison retorted.
"Whatever. Your only three feet tall. I'm not quite sure the police will let a five year old drive through Providence."
"But I have a licence. They have to-" Edison continued.
"Who's picture is on that licence?"
"Mine."
"The older or younger you?" Edison made a sour face.
"The older me..." He muttered."How do I explain this to the school?"
"Don't. You only really have to explain it to your students and the principals." Cyan pointed out.
"True. Now can I have something to put on?" Edison asked.
"Okay, Ghost-Meister." Soon, everyone was asleep and the day had ended.
