Bonus Chapter - Bye Bye Anna.....

How the hell did this happen? I am on my way home to see my Father, who will be not only angry, but enraged with what has gone down tonight....

Philipe, well he has shown his true colours - he is pathetic and weak, and I rue the moment I thought this imbecile could actually help me. To not even realise Laura is alive shows how stupid I truly was, and now, as I am in this taxi which will cost me the last $50 dollars I have in my purse, do I come to a shattering realisation....

I am flat broke - Laura and Massimo made sure I paid the price in a dramatic fashion, yet I fear the worst is still to come....the taxi has just arrived at my Family's Estate, and there are some of Massimo's men here - Holy F**k!!!!

This can't be happening, and as I exit the taxi, I am given $6.80 change from the $50. Philipe the gutless wonder slowly exits also, and I now come face to face with my Father. The taxi driver bolts out of here like a bat out of hell, and I sure wish I am still in that taxi right now......

Angelo Gattuso is a legend in the old sense - he has always been one to ensure the financial security of the family, while respecting the other families here in Sicily.....

As he approaches Philipe and I, his face tells me I am in for it. He has never been this angry with me, and as he looks to both of us, he screams at me unlike any octaves I have ever heard from him before.....

Once my Father finishes his tirade, he tells me the one thing I never expected - I am no longer a member of this family. I have been disowned, and the only reason I am not dead right now is because Massimo made a deal with my Father....

I am banished from ever being able to set foot on the Family Estate again, and I will no longer be able to contribute to what the family proudly called the business 'Progresso.'

Massimo has given my Family back their Estate, and a small portion of their portfolio, in exchange for my life. I am being sent to relatives in Malta, where I will be working on their farm....hell no....

Philipe is sh****ng bricks right now, and my Father slaps him across the face. I can literally feel his cheek bone feeling the brunt, and if I wasn't a woman, I would be receiving the same fate.....

Massimo's men are here to ensure my departure, and as for Philipe, well, it appears Massimo has a job for him - cleaning. Philipe now works as s**t k****r for his staff, and to see a man's demeanour change so quickly, his face turn white as a ghost, do I regret ever thinking he could be my secondary.....

As Philipe is taken away, he is howling for mercy. Judging by the looks on the faces of Massimo's men, I don't think crying like a baby will get him far......

Now it is just my Father and I, with the remaining men. My Father tells me I am such a disappointment, and now, I have to face the consequences of my actions. I am now grabbed and forced into a waiting car, while my Father just stands and watches.

His facial expression is unreadable, yet I see a stray tear fall from his eye.....For the first time since I was a little girl, I am sobbing, sobbing for the mess I have made, the trouble I have caused my Family - and the nightmare my life will now be. The car now drives away, and as I look back to my Father, he turns on his heels and walks away.....

As I leave Sicily, I know this is goodbye, goodbye to everything and everyone I have ever known and loved - all because I couldn't be a woman and handle a man's rejection, and his love for someone else....

I just close my eyes and let this nightmare take over. To think Massimo's life is starting again as mine is ending.....

Tonight could not have gone better if it tried. I finally have my life back, and most importantly, the woman I love and our son are back with me where they belong.....

As I am enjoying myself, my phone rings. I put the phone on speaker, and everyone listens with keen interest. It is one of my men, and they are confirming Angelo has kept his end of our deal, and Anna is now in the car being taken to the Airport.

A plane is waiting to take Anna to Malta, where she will end her days as a slave to hard work. To think such an intelligent and resourceful woman is now beneath the lowest class on Earth.

I look to Laura, who is smiling from ear to ear, as she then whispers something to Olga. Soon enough, everyone except me seems to be in on the secret, until Laura whispers in my ear what she said. It is bloody brilliant, and I tell my man to put the phone on speaker.

I want Anna to hear this, and as I hear her voice, I wonder how I ever thought this woman was worth the time or attention. Everyone gathers around me, and we all shout out at the loudest of our voices - Bye Bye Anna.....

As the call is cut, we can hear Anna screaming in the background. We all laugh and cheer, and Mario has the last word! He looks to us all, "How does that saying go - if you sleep with a dog you get fleas...."

No!!!!! Hearing everyone scream good bye to me, makes me so mad!!!! I am now lashing out in the car, and I feel a hand slap me across the face, and my hair is being pulled.....

I am told to sit down and shut up, and I am now defeated. The car has just arrived at the Airport, and I am pulled onto the plane. It doesn't take long for us to depart, and as I look down at Sicily one last time, I say Bye Bye to life and hello to hell......
