"Milana! You haven't packed your bag yet!" Nathalia shouted from the room.
I am walking on eggshells on this sunny morning. As I am putting my final touches on both my hair and face, Nathalia's been organizing my stuff and reminding me of what to carry and what's to be left behind.
I wore a body hugging nude colored one jumpsuit, and I carried with me a nude colored trench coat and paired it with my favorite Prada heels. Hindi ko alam kung natatae ako or what, but I can assure you one thing.
I am fucking nervous.
When I entered the room, I immediately saw Nathalia putting whatever's fit for me to bring at the Airport. "Oh! Pakilagay 'din yung pang retouch ko,"
Maya-maya pa ay narinig ko nang tumunog ang doorbell ng unit namin. I sashay my way towards the door, peeking through the peephole first, before opening the door.
"Good morning, Ma'am! I will be escorting you to the LYA Air." A man in his thirties, I assume, stood in front of me. Wearing a suit as black as raven, and while his nameplate on his right upper chest glistens through the side lamps of the building's hallway, there embroidered in gold colored thread the initials of the airport.
True to his words, tinext pa ako kagabi ni Yago when he reached his unit. He also talked me through on what to expect during my first day. I don't know why but I felt so relaxed when I laid on the bed.
"Goodluck on your first day!" She energetically waved her hand at me, knowing for sure that I'd be needing more than luck for the day.
When I arrived at the airport, I immediately saw a bunch of media reporter outside, paparazzi everywhere, and from that moment on, napatingin ako sa driver, dahil alam kong wala 'rin naman siyang magagawa if dumugin kami.
And that was the assurance that I needed to keep my shit together.
Tumango naman ako dito at sinuot na ang shades when he parked sa gilid, and just like what I expected, the medi started to crowd my entry point while some even went in front of the car to get a better view, pero mukhang gamay na 'rin ng security kasi hinarang na kaagad nila ito bago pa kami walang madaanan papasok.
"Milana! Over here! Bakit ka magtatrabaho dito sa LYA?"
"Kuya, wait! Kahit isang scoop lang talaga.""Miss Milana, totoo ba na may merging na magaganap?"
Those are just a few of what I can hear clearly as the camera flash blinds me. I was then accompanied by a very nervous staff, when I mean very, I am talking about the stuttering and all sorts.
She escorted me through a private elevator, I presume, because while the others are fully packed, this one is located at the very corner with no traffic lines. They are all busy doing their work, they look like tiny ants in some of the aerial views from the huge screen.
