The sun rose, hitting right through Hope's window. She woke up as the sun refused to stop blinding her by its light. She slowly opened her eyes, realizing that Landon had stayed the night and then she remembered that they both fell asleep during the movie. Hope stood up gently, trying not to wake Landon up but she failed. "Morning, beautiful" Landon greeted Hope with a smile, still with his eyes closed. "Morning" Hope replied. "Any plans for today?" Landon asked as he sat up, admiring Hope walking to the bathroom to brush her teeth "I think I'll be helping Josie and Lizzie set up the school dance today" she muffled. "Lizzie? aren't you guys like mortal enemies or something" Landon asked while he got off the bed to put his shoes on. "Yeah but Josie and I are starting to get really close and when someone's getting close with Josie, you have to deal with the other twin" Hope sighed.
Hope had finished getting ready, she threw on a matching Salvatore grey sweat set while Landon waited by the door, looking out the window. "You ready?" Landon smiled at Hope as she nodded while opening the door. The couple went down to the dining hall to eat breakfast and ran into Penelope and Josie. "Hey" Josie said giving Hope a hug and waving at Landon. Penelope just stared at them. "Are you guys here to eat breakfast?" Hope asked but mostly wanting to hear an answer from Josie as she only looked at her. "I am but Penelope isn't going to stay, so she walked me down here" Josie said. Hope gave Penelope a look, a look that wasn't supposed to be given early in the morning. Penelope noticed so she glared back and held Josie's hand with a smirk, testing her theory of Hope Mikaelson having a crush on her girlfriend, Josette Saltzman.
Hope subtly rolled her eyes, turning her attention back to Josie "Why don't you join Landon and I? we're here to eat breakfast too" Josie nodded with a smile but before they could go sit, Penelope gave Josie a hug "I'll see you later?" she asked and Jo replied "Sure" Penelope then kissed Josie, slowly and passionately, slipping her tongue into Josie's own. Josie would've let Penelope continue but she remembered that she was their with Landon and Hope. She was mostly worried about Hope so Josie pulled away. "See you later" Penelope said seductively with a wink, walking away.
Landon looked away when it was happening but Hope couldn't stop looking at them kissing. Something about the interaction made her angry, she didn't know why but it just did. Josie just awkwardly smiled at them when her girlfriend walked away. "So shall we eat?" she said breaking the silence, earning a nod from the couple. Landon went up to get food for himself and Hope while Josie followed him to get herself a meal too. Hope on the other hand went to go pick a table for them to sit on. She chose the table beside the long vertical window that allows anyone sitting by it to see the green field at the back of the school. She sat down, observing Rafael's pack as they work out.
Josie was the first to come back with her food while Landon was still getting his and Hope's. "Hi" Josie said letting Hope know that she's there since she noticed how quiet Hope was and has her head facing the window. Hope looked up and gave Josie a smile. "Hope, are you okay?" Josie said as she sat beside Hope, putting her tray of food down on the table. "Yeah I a-" before Hope could even finish Josie cut her off "No you're not. Stop lying to me" she sternly said. "Why would you think I'm lying?" Hope was clearly irritated, she turned her whole body to face Josie. "You've been giving this weird vibe ever since this morning" Josie said. "I'm not" Hope quickly replied looking away. Josie crossed her arm "Oh really? Then look at me and say that nothing's wrong"
Hope turned her head to look at Josie's eyes, she tried to open her mouth but she couldn't. what's wrong with me? why can't I just say it Hope thought to herself. "I'm waiting" Josie said as she stared back at Hope. Josie moved her face closer to Hope, she could feel the breath of air that came out of Hope's almost parted lips "Say that everything's okay and nothing's wrong" Josie whispered. Hope was too focused on how close Josie was to her lips, hearing her whisper that near sent shivers down her spine. But Hope couldn't get a single word out of her mouth, she sighed in defeat and looked down on the table, letting Josie know that she's right. Something is wrong.
