Chapter 37: Our Family's Hope

[Some time later, Elijah and Adela burst into the church and looks around desperately. Adela was genuinely scared for Hayley and the babies safety]

ELIJAH: [frantically] HAYLEY!
ADELA: Hayley!

[They stop dead in there tracks, panting and out of breath as a result of the werewolf bites, and struggles to focus their vision. Eventually, they see that Klaus is sitting at the sacristy with Hayley's head resting in his lap. Klaus is near tears. Elijah and Adela approach them with a horrified look on there faces]

ELIJAH: No. No, no. No...

[They fall to their knees next to Hayley and realizing that she's dead. Adela tucked her knees in too her chest. Hayley's dead, she's dead, she can't be dead, this can't be happening again. She thought to herself.]

KLAUS: [numbly] She's gone.

[Elijah and Adela start to cry, which causes Klaus to start to cry as well]

KLAUS: You've been bitten. Here.

[He bites into his wrist and offers it to Elijah and Adela. Elijah is stunned by this display of kindness]

[Elijah lays Hayley's body back onto the table at the sacristy while Klaus sits nearby. Adela was sitting a little far away from them. Tapping her finger trying not to lose control or shut it off.]

ELIJAH: [distraught] How?KLAUS: [numbly] I was bested.

[Elijah's face goes from an expression of horror to one of fury]

ELIJAH: [quietly] You were bested. Huh. [He walks toward Klaus and stares at him furiously] You were BESTED? [Klaus looks at him in shock at his loss of temper, and Elijah shouts in exasperation] My invincible brother!

[Klaus pulls himself weakly to his feet and looks Elijah in the eyes]

KLAUS: They took the baby. But there's still time. We can save her.
[Adela heard that an immediately stood up and wiped the tears from her face. She knew she needed to save that baby]

[Adela, Klaus and Elijah rush around the cemetery in an attempt to figure out where the witches are keeping the baby]

ELIJAH: [frantically] The tombs are empty. The grounds are deserted. She's NOT HERE!KLAUS: This is the only place they can be! We'll keep searching.ELIJAH: They are NOT HERE, Niklaus! We're wasting time!KLAUS: The Harvest was here! The Reaping was here! They're about to perform a ritual which will feed their ancestors for centuries! Ancestors who are buried HERE!
ADELA: She's here I can feel the magic coming offer and those harvest bitches. 

[Klaus notices an angel statue on top of one of the tombs and sighs in frustration]

KLAUS: This statue-- we've passed by this three times, all whilst going in the same direction.

[Klaus and Elijah brainstorm silently as they examine the various tombs near them]

ELIJAH: They've fabricated some kind of illusion.

[Klaus vamp-speeds to the top of the tomb with the angel statue and tries to get a better view of the cemetery. When he looks out, there seem to be an infinite number of tombs, stretching out to make the cemetery appear to be endless, and his eyes widen in horror]
