Chapter 5- Mian's Past (Part 1)

When a person finally gets the courage to ignore all of the bad things that happened in their past and ignore their anxiety to stand up for somebody. You can tell that they think of that person as a true friend, that's how Mian felt about Shancai. Mian ignored the fact that she and F4 didn't have the best past and pulled through for a person she wanted to become best friends with. Mian knows that Shancai might be irritated or mad that she did this, but Mian didn't do it just for Shancai she also did it for herself. So, here she is, in a cafe on campus across from Shancai, about to explain everything.

   "Are you going to explain to me how you know them?" Shancai asks her looking for answers.

   "Well it's a really long story," Mian nervously tells her scratching her head.

   Shancai sighs before speaking, "Mian we're friends right?" Mian didn't know how to answer that question. Of course, she cared for Shancai enough to stand up for her, but what she did back there wasn't for Shancai, it was for herself. Even though she knew Shancai was going to get nowhere. It really was mostly for herself so that she could have a peaceful year.

   "Shancai, what I did back there was because I care for you," Mian explains to her.

   "Mian, I told you I wanted to talk to them myself, why would you do that. You know what I don't even care why you did that because I would do it too. The real question is, how do you know them?" Shancai tells her.

   "Do, you really want to know Shancai, it's pretty long," Mian says trying to find any possible way to not tell the story.

   "I have as long as it takes." Shancai firmly responds really wanting to know the story. 

   "Okay, I'll tell you." Mian takes in a deep breath and blows it out. "So, when I was younger, like really young, about 3 years old I met F4. At the moment they weren't called F4, they were just a group of friends but, they did have 2 more people in the mix, me and my sister, Jing,"

   "Jing? As in, TengTang Jing, the heiress of the TengTang company?" Shancai interrupts, and Mian nods, "Then that means, your also a TengTang," Shancai states surprised.

   "Yes Shancai, I am a TengTang," Mian says boringly. 

   "Does that mean your a celebrity, I never knew I was friends with a celebrity," Shancai asks excitedly. 

   This is exactly the reaction Mian didn't want when she told her Shancai that she was Jing's sister. She knew this reaction she always got it when her sister used to come to get her from school when she was younger.

   "No, I am not a celebrity, and I don't want to be, unless it's for my clothing line," Mian doesn't even know what she wants to tell her at this point. Some parts of her want to spill her heart out to Shancai, and another part of her wants to not tell her anything because she's afraid of Shancai using her.

   "Sorry, I didn't mean to be rude. I was just shocked," Shancai tells her shamefully, and Mian shakes her head in response.

   "No it's fine I understand. If I were you and my friend told me they were siblings with a celebrity I would be shocked too," and Mian is telling the truth about that.

   Mian had no way to start this story, it was really going to be a long one.

   "All of us were close, but me and Jing were closer, even though there was a 6 year age gap between us. But, one day I realized that would not last forever. As a 3 year old child I was traumatized from this experience, but as an adult now I realize it was just one of the things that had to happen," Mian took in a deep breath and blew it all out, "My parents had fallen out of love and had this huge fight and they got a divorce,".
