"Hi I'm Shancai. Nice to meet you." The tiny girl says.
"That's a cute name. Are you a freshman too?" Mian asks.
The girl was about to answer but, out of nowhere this boy comes running towards them yelling.
"Shancai! Shancai!" The boy yells extremely loudly making Mian cover her ears.
"Qinghe! Hi!" Shancai says happily.
"Shancai, I am so happy that we got into the same school." Qinghe says, but then turns around to see Mian. Mian then waves at the boy whom name she just learnt is Qinghe, "Shancai," Qinghe leans towards Shancai's and whispers loudly. "Who is she?"
Instead of waiting for Shancai to answer, Mian smiles and puts her hand in front of him so he can shake it, "Hi I'm Mian, it's nice to meet you."
Knowing the girl heard him ask Shancai who she was Qinghe quietly responds to her and shakes her hand, "I'm Qinghe."
Then out of nowhere this girl runs up to them out of nowhere.
"Shancai." The girl says with a smile on her face.
"You're... let me think about it." Shancai says taking her time to think. "Li Zhen!" Shancai exclaims finally remembering the girl.
"Oh you're the quiet girl who always got the amazing grades, right." Qinghe mentions and Li Zhen looks down shyly.
"Li Zhen this is, Mian, and Qinghe. Qinghe was my High school class mate and my best friend." Shancai says introducing us.
"Then you guys must be pretty close friends to want to apply to the same University." Mian says surprised.
"Of course, I applied to the same university as her." Qinghe responds.
"Why did you apply to the same university?" Li Zhen asks slightly tilting her head.
"I didn't want to be away from her." Qinghe answers hesitantly. "Also it doesn't matter what I major in. I'm going to take over the family company, a banana processing factory." Qinghe finishes.
Shancai then looks like she got an idea before speaking. "Bananas are great. They're very nutritious and delicious." She says.
"Yes and most importantly, they're never alone." Qinghe responds.
Mian and Li Zhen look at each other confused before Li Zhen asks, "Bananas are never alone?"
"Because..." Qinghe starts, "Bananas hang around in bunches!" Shancai and Qinghe say at the same time.
"You guys really must be close to be in sync like that." Mian says in amazement.
"Of course and no matter what me and Shancai will be classmates for as long as possible."
Mian looks at Qinghe and Shancai in amazement. She was never able to have a friendship like that and as much as she used to wish she could, Mian didn't want to get her hopes up for a friendship that might not even last long. Although, Shancai doesn't seem like the type to backstab you, she didn't want to take the chance of being hurt.
"Shancai." Li Zhen speaks up, "I'm so glad that I know you, otherwise I would be lonely."
"Well lets think about it this way, now for the next four years and so on, we'll be best friends."
All of them except Mian put their hand in the middle of them.
"Are you going to put your hand in Mian?" Shancai asks.
"But, I major in a different class then you guys. We won't be able to see each other often." Mian respond, a little sadly. This was really just half the truth. Mian really was worried that they won't be able to see each other often but, she also didn't want to hurt them, because she has never had the experience of being friends with anybody. She really can't promise to give them her friendship for four years..
"Mian, if you want we can give you our numbers. That way we can contact each other as much as possible." Shancai kindly says.
"Are you sure, I've never had a friendship before." Mian tells them.
While Li Zhen and Qinghe did look a little sad to hear that. Shancai didn't and kept a smile on her face. "I promise you, Mian, that I will be your best friend for not only our University years, but, also for the rest of our lives.
This makes Mian put a smile on her face. Even thought there were a whole bunch of negative thought going through her head Mian decides to give this friendship between the four of them a try. Mian adds her hand on top of the three of theirs.
"Lets do our best." Mian happily says.
The other three respond with a happy, "YAY!"
This was the beginning of an amazing friendship.

A/N: This was the second chapter. I do need to work on it a little more but, I still have to put out the third chapter today. After the third chapter is published I will go through all of the other chapters and start the revision. Again I hope you enjoyed and I'm always open to constructive criticism.
